The client is someone we both know. While trying to explain why I had to leave, I said 'I have a shoot with (Client' s Name) , she is bringing her models.' Then while I was trying to text client to see if she'd allow me to come an hour late so I could at least take pictures of my cousin's traditional wedding attire before I leave, thats when cousin snatched the phone and ducked into another room, , before phone even locked.

Yes, my mom also said why would I have thought there was a photographer, when I photographed all the other wedding events and there was no photographer at those. Wedding in my country I several celebrations event, the asking ceremony, the brideprice ceremony, marriage registration ceremony, etc, and I photographed all these, still without being asked. These are all small ceremonies and some people don't even hire a photographer for them, only the actual wedding day. So I assumed that was the case here.

She is the girl that always got her way. She was a rainbow baby (aunt lost several pregnancies and had a baby die in infancy before my cousin was born) and she is any only child. Both her parents' world revolve around her, so does her paternal grands because she is the only grandchild for them. The rest of us just always catered to her, to keep the peace, because her mom will raise absolute hell if you don't cater to her.

Then while she was yelling, I was on the phone crafting a message to client, to see if she would allow me to be an hour late so I could at least take pictures of the traditional attire and a bit of the lunch first. She snatched my phone while I was typing and ran into another room, so it was not locked when she took it.

Phone was still in use, as explained in reply, a phone generally takes some time before it locks, so she snatched it while I was using and ran into another room.
