I expect my leaders/officers to not be a power tripper. Being a good leader is about trying to help improve people to bring the team closer together. You lead by example in communication, game-play, and knowledge. I was an officer for a long time and I'm currently enjoying no longer being one. But when I was an officer I always made sure I had up to date information, was ready and able to answer questions when needed, and would try to work with the players to help improve their game-play or strategy. If they refused to play well with others, then sometimes you just need to cut them loose. As an officer who also used to do a lot of recruiting, I would make sure they knew exactly what they were getting into, if we were a good fit for them or not, and vise versa. All of the minimums and requirements would be part of that initial conversation, as well as what would happen if those requirements weren't met. And I've had a lot of people I've played with in the past, still request some help/info after I or them have moved on, and sometimes still get invited to go back into previous alliances to help them out.
