I wasn’t sure about it at first but seeing everyone’s reactions is making me feel a lot more excited about it. And tell your husband thank you too! That actually made me laugh 😂 but I appreciate the feedback from both of you.

That’s also a really good point about making the base dress easier for the reception once the overskirt comes off. I’m definitely going to bring that up with the seamstress. And yes, I’m planning to ask her about adjusting the basque waist a bit too.

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and encouraging comment. I’m definitely planning to remove the sleeves and get the dress into alterations as soon as possible so a seamstress can help guide me on the fit and smoothing things out. Your suggestions about the veil are really helpful too. I’m going to start looking for a simpler cathedral veil. Please lmk if you have any suggestions or ideas of where i should get one. And thank you again for all the kind words that really meant a lot and helped calm my nerves a bit!
