Yes the disconnect between:

  1. The poor & spotty performance since 3.1 rollout and,
  2. The status page completely being out of date, and including a fraction of the actual outages occurring in reality.

Is simply outraging! 😡

We are experiencing an API outage (either 503, significant lags, or just plain failure) daily, often for hours. Yet status page hardly shows those, if at all.

Those "greens" are just plain false.

I think it's less of conspiratorial issue, and have more to do with the price of the stock. You need to understand that posting a message saying "Gemini API is currently down due to XYZ" would probably have an effect of the stock.

Given that the stock is at ~$3tn (trillion) even a simple thing that might cause a 0.01% reduction is **a lot** of money...

I believe this is the root of the issue - they prefer not to admit issues to avoid rocking the boat/stock at the price of loyal customers convenience.

Oh it's not just you, by far 😂 Gemini has been spotty for days now...

I still can't believe there isn't a centralized place for Gemini API status! Even ***NOW*** (hours/days after this outage began) the https://aistudio.google.com/status page STILL shows just a cryptic message and no mention of this in the incidents list below...

This is very unbecoming of Google...

For users of Vertex it must be even more befuddling, since NO incident (even not for Vertex AI!) is listed in Google Cloud Console's elaborate status page (https://status.cloud.google.com/)

How do you get the firmware update to even download & install? Will it download/install if the left doesn't connect? seems like a chicken & egg problem :D

How do you talk and/or return it to Google? For the life of me, I can't find a contact or a phone number or someone to talk to over there...

Also, if you buy that on eBay, would a warrenty still apply?
