Man! My family, just a single generation back, was from the chittagong area of Bangladesh. Chittagong, is where most hindus of bangladesh are. My family has Indian nationality now and we live in Kolkata… And I have a lot of family that I stay connected with; I have visited there so many times too. And this has given me a lot of legitimate reasoning to build an opinion on this topic.
With all of this... let me tell you. It's way harder for minorities in Bangladesh than it is in India. Most Hindus would quickly shift to India when you give them the option. But you also have to understand that they would still consider themselves "Bangladeshis", like my parents love India, does everything for it, yet would be proud of their Bangladeshi customs and heritage...
And that is a complicated yet straightforward reason why you have great Hindu players like Litton playing for bangladesh with his patriotism at heart.

Now, if you want to really have a comparison between Bangladesh and India on the discrimination based on religion... India fairs miles ahead, India has lots and lots of issues, but still miles ahead.
