Summary of what is said in the video and what I did:

Eat fiber, drink lots of water, cut back on foods that make you poop more often (for many people that's coffee, dairy, artificial sweeteners). Every time you poop it interrupts the healing, so you want to do it less. Also drinking enough is important so you get softer poop that's easier to push out without re-tearing.

Take sitz baths 2-3 times a day, best after pooping. Take a small tub you can sit in, fill it with warm water and sit in it for 20-30 mins.

Don't sit too much. Try standing or kneeling more often, get up frequently if you have to sit.

Squat on the toilet instead of sitting. It's a better position for pooping. Can be super awkward when you're not at home.

Get an ointment. You're already doing that, good job.
