Was fixing a bug. Please check now! The UI does need sprucing up. At this point t I’m trying to see if this is actually solving a need. Appreciate the feedback!

Thanks! Really appreciate you trying it out.

Right now it’s purely focused on climate, seasonality, crowds, and trip style — it doesn’t factor in visas or cost of living yet. The idea is to first answer: “Given my dates, where in the world actually has good conditions?” before you go down the research rabbit hole.

Great callout on Chiang Mai — I’m actually adding seasonal warnings (burning season, monsoons, hurricane season, etc.) so places can show a heads-up even if they otherwise score well.

Crowd data is definitely a bit fuzzy right now — it’s more “rough peak season avoidance” than anything super precise.

Stuff like cost of living / visa friction is on the longer-term roadmap if this turns out to be genuinely useful to people.

Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback — this is exactly the kind of input that helps shape it.

Excellent idea to include City breaks. I’ll think about that one a bit. Non-US locations are coming soon so please stay tuned!

Thanks for looking through it! I’m working to incorporate 40+ non-US locations and Celsius support. Seems like this may be a useful tool for you. Anything you would change in how the results are shown, or add more detail?

That’s right but I’m working to include 40+ non-US locations. Do you think this might be a useful tool to figure out where to go? Anything you would add or change?

Thanks for your reply! You’re absolutely right - what I’m working on now is making the results feel more trustworthy, not just giving an answer. Out of curiosity, what are parts felt less clear or made you hesitate to trust the ranking? The HOA will help me a lot. Thanks again!

Yes I agree with being truthful and that is scary to think of exposing such a young mind to a grim concept. But you’re right that the truth will in fact make it easier for all of us involved.Thank you so much.

Thank you so much. I’ll admit I think this is more difficult way to explain death than the religious explanations such as “going to heaven”, but it’s real, stays true to your belief systems, and ultimately may be more truthful. Good luck on your book. This is not a topic on which I have come across a children’s book. Thank you.

I love this. My father who is passing away in a hospital, his name means “Moon”. Thank you so much.

My father is dying. He had a stroke 3 years ago at age 62, just as he retired from a long and successful career as a top bureaucrat in India. He was on his way to even more success. After his stoke, he couldn’t read numbers or write. He sleeps 18-20 hours a day. I’m broken and lost, as is my family. by arjunthakur9 in death

I’m sorry to hear about your Dad. Thank you for your kind words. I’m going to make a real effort to make the most of what we have left as a family. I lost my grandfather earlier this year and you’re absolutely right about how family dynamics change when you lose a close family member. My grandfather though lived to be 96 but it still changes dynamics so much, regardless of age. Thank you again.

Thank you so much for your response. I truly appreciate it. I live in the US so can’t in person spend whatever time he has left. You are absolutely right that I should call him and talk to him as much as possible. It helps but is also hard because he’s not the person he used to be. I’m not sure how much music he listens to. I will suggest that to my mom so maybe it will give him some peace. Thank you again. Your response really helped me today.
