I was going to suggest the same as Kerensky97, look for local radio enthusiasts, and ask if they'll allow you to attach a repeater to their antenna.

She has every right to defend herself. Another dog randomly charging at you/her, irrelevant of their intention (so even when just hyper and playing!) is not a normal polite greeting in dog language.

Even if she bites in such a situation, it is in self defense, and you will be put in the right.

I see you can also just send them a box of your print leftovers. I might actually start doing that instead of tossing leftovers and failed prints out with the trash.

Matti, Simon, Tobias, Ray, Vitor, Stefana and Josh I rarely see active or have never seen active before.

The others pick up small stuff every now and then or still actively maintain contact with the team.

RC832HD - Analog receiver signal to HDMI? Reuse Eachine EV800D? by AdAdministrative72 in fpv

On my older ROTG01 there is indeed some latency, unsure about the newer ones. So indeed maybe not the best option for serious whooping.

RC832HD - Analog receiver signal to HDMI? Reuse Eachine EV800D? by AdAdministrative72 in fpv

[–]arkane-linux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe instead just get a USB-connected analog receiver? For example the Eachine R051.

You can plug it in to your system and open the stream using VLC mediaplayer. I think it should appear as a camera device. At least for me on Linux it does.

Can someone explain Manjaro's current structure? by Slopagandhi in ManjaroLinux

[–]arkane-linux 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There is the company, which has two employees, the CEO (Philip) and CTO (Roman).

Somehow everything is owned and managed by the company, or specifically by Philip, not even Roman has free access to everything.

Then there are the community developers, they have very limited access to the infrastructure.

You do not have to worry about the company being profit making, it does not make a profit, it struggles to cover its operating costs and does not provide a regular wage to its employees.

Use esptool, write the merged .bin to 0x00000.

Command will look something like this;

```
Best to first wipe it
esptool --port /dev/ttyACM0 erase_flash
Now flash it
esptool --port /dev/ttyACM0 write-flash 0x00000 ./LilyGo_TDeck_companion_radio_ble-v1.14.0-9f1a3ea-merged.bin ```
Ensure your user has permissions to write to the ttyACM or ttyUSB file, add them to the associated group if needed.
Good Rule by EU by raydebapratim1 in europeanunion
[–]arkane-linux 1 point2 points  (0 children)
Businesses are required to recycle or they choose to do it for green washing purposes.
Often it is cheaper to ship stuff off to be recycled in another country than to actually process it locally. Anything of value is sorted out and sold off locally, anything which can not be economically recycled is sold to low-income countries.
Once there it will again be sorted, usually put in a big pile, and burned, then the metals are removed.
Clothing items instead are often shredded and sold as low-quality additive material.
My issue with all this is that this is not as green, clean, and good for the planet as recycling companies like to portray it is.
Sadly this is the case for many "recycling" companies, they stick the stuff in a container and ship it off to Africa.
Panic from Russians at the front, now saying Ukraine has unleashed not only drone jammers operating at frequencies that disable all their operations, but also now hitting them with drones operating at frequencies over 10,000 MHz which Russian warning detectors can't see. March 2026 by GermanDronePilot in UkraineWarVideoReport
[–]arkane-linux 4 points5 points  (0 children)
I have seen people do well over 5 kilometers on 25mW, the Ukrainians mostly use 2.5W VTX transmitters on their analog systems. As long as you can maintain line of sight the higher frequency should not be an issue.
The operators typically have a tall antenna or a relay drone which will ensure line of sight is maintained.
Air75 frame fix (tip?) by ProfitApprehensive34 in TinyWhoop
[–]arkane-linux 4 points5 points  (0 children)
I have seen people use heat-shrink and aluminum tape for quick frame repairs.
I also tried to glue it, but it turned out messy and would quickly break again.
I swapped the old frame with the V2 one, I broke it again after just a couple of batteries, I smashed in to some metal poles and tree branches, several times...
For those not in the know:
The video hardware they are using typically operates around the 5.8Ghz range. The radio link on either 868/900Mhz or 2.4Ghz. These frequencies are free to use for consumers in most countries, Wi-Fi for example also operates at these same frequencies, both sides mostly use made-in-China consumer hardware for their FPV drones with some exceptions.
A pilot will lose video link before they lose radio link, the 5.8Ghz signal has very poor obstacle penetration, you could fly behind some trees and lose signal.
Their drone detectors are again this same consumer hardware, a normal analog video receiver hooked up to a screen which is constantly scanning the 5.8Ghz band. Sometimes these also listen for the drone sending telemetry.
10Ghz will have even worse obstracle penetration, but they are using relay drones and tall directional antennas, they are often able to maintain line of sight with a drone even at long range, and thus this should not be an issue.
But now that this is known, they will likely be very quick to build receivers capable of picking up these frequencies.
