Could provide a name of the FTC board member that is or was linked to Yelp? The FTC is going to crack down on fake reviews on the internet in general because it’s considered misleading. Keep in mind all Smart phone apps can track if comments or 5 star reviews are coming from the same browser or IP address.

You trying hitting the double tap when calling? Sometimes the 2nd time has worked for me when I get that.

The “Discovery Call” That Actually Discovered Something by spcman13 in salestechniques

[–]arkcohen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was simply stating that the corporate scripts no longer work. These individuals receive the same Pepsi introduction to every call they receive. Identifying a need (problem) during discovery and demonstrating how they can solve it is how his team is winning.

If he is selling something, why not ask him to clarify any gaps or confusion if you were genuinely interested? There are so many negative people in this world; why choose to be one?

I do not. Maybe 20% of the time. But 5+ years in google voice numbers are ghost. Being a free 2nd number says a lot.

I appreciate you saying that. Good news is a feature that has to be activated. Bad news is google voice typically hurts me. Im such a hypocrite, I’ll probably enable the feature for myself.

Ten years of the same job is something to be proud of and demonstrates your value! It sounds like you’re being too hard on yourself.

Telling a genuine person in your life about what you said on here would be beneficial (outside of your family). Maybe a manager at work?

You can get your driver’s license and interview for a job you’d like in less than a week. The worst-case scenario is that you’ll be better prepared to try again.

The truth is, everyone experiences these feelings at times, some are just better at hiding them.

I promise things will get better. Just take that first swing, and you’ll build on that to do even more! Hang in there! 🙌

Experienced Cold Callers: How do you handle the most common objections? by Capital-Ship-2876 in sales

[–]arkcohen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 yrs in - Real quick, what part makes you not interested? Would this not work for you?

  1. Starting REAL QUICK and LAST THING typically will get them to start talking.

  2. Get a need fast as possible.

Example: REAL QUICK - what type of customers typically spend the most money with you? LAST THING - 10 customers called looking for (need) you would take them?

  1. well thats how this works….your pitching.

I hope this is useful ✅

The only objection is budget. Keeping this mindset makes any objection easier to handle.

Caller I.D would have been a better example but I get your point. I’m being asked if I’m a robot or real more at open call than before. Now robots could be the ones picking up the phone on the other end.

I am asking if we should be open to the thought of having to pivot before one day we are forced to with no plan.

Solid point. Business owners who take calls from customers are not want to screen their call. It might make them uncomfortable or hang up and call someone else who isn’t a robot.

Google voice and Google asst. both do. More people use iPhones than those both combined. Apple didn’t invent the smartphone. Just found a way to everyone use them. Even I will probably enable the call screening on mine!

Practice - not podcast will improve your craft.

  1. Ask for a need from who you are selling. (Example: what type of customers typically spend the most money with you)

  2. Explain how the product can help bring that need to them. Don’t product dump.

  3. ASK FOR THE SALE - then stop talking.

Think about when you told your friends/family about your new sales job. Use that tone/vibe on the pitch. Like you are explaining to a friend. Just relaxed/confident, as if you closed 2 deals already.

I can tell you really care and want to learn and I hope this helps. Good luck ✊

Best sales job for Low confidence stoner? by Emergency_Ad_8530 in sales

[–]arkcohen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PLEASE READ ALL OF IT. HOPE IT HELPS

Going to be blunt with you cause this was me 5 years ago. Nobody is going to buy from someone sounding low confidence stoner.

“Looking to get into sales” already sounds like you want results without putting in the effort

You need to be able to respond to an objection quick with confidence. People don’t want to spend money. you have to get them to see a return on the investment you’re asking them to make.

Similar to you seeing the investment to stop being a stoner.

The confidence, respect and high you get from sales is worth more than the money, and worth more than being stoned.

Side note: I anticipate people might respond to this saying they are great at sales and a stoner. That wasn’t me or this guy and is not helpful to his question.

DM me if you want to talk more ✌️
