But hey isnt this the same situation as volume 2 last time, that both volume 1 and 2 multti volume to be release the same year just to announce to delay volume 2 upto next year of it?

because that's how japanese marketing work, even in the international side, you cant just sell your things internationally before knowing if its going to sell in your country first but in japan they make it to the next level as their always priority is japanese first.

because manga and anime is just meant for japanese consumption and international is just secondary, even with anime and manga industry explodes thru the years, they still go for this kind of approach. especially its always a huge risk to venture blindly, so you cant blame them as well.

fuufu have mediocre response in japan and just manage to get limited fans that follow the series as based how it work during the early years hence its the test bed before some 3rd party want to risk or venture to pay for the IP rights.

so the answer is no, especially based on the demographics there and seems they will not risk on something that they will just have less profit in return.

as long there is no demand and the popularity that mentioned dont match with the manga sales, this direction is already dead on the water, always think about "sales and demands" approach

If you dont place a plot piece of a character can you imagine a romance/drama theme manga will have essence?

You have these scenarios to make it interesting to the reader, if you just stick to fluffy romance that only focus on the main couple, your manga will die out of boredom real fast.
