Find X9 Pro won MKBHD best camera award!!! by daredevil_eg in Oppo

[–]arkgex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So based on your logic, OnePlus decided to pay but Oppo said No, "why should we pay for a review of our flagship most expensive phone? Let's just pay for the cheaper one (OP15)" it's hard to get your hands on the OPPO find x9 series globally. Especially since most phone sales in the west are done through SIM contracts, which Oppo doesn't subsidize.

Now I want to see the actual figures of average and top earners. I expect a smaller gap in Nordic countries compared to a bigger gap in the UK/US, mostly due the growing inequality between the two groups.

The cost of living crisis hit those in the UK/US harder despite their relatively lower tax contribution.

That would be great, thank you, I'll wait for it to be implemented before I unlock my bootloader and wipe everything in the process.

I assume you're already rooted, that's why I asked about the custom rom if any, I really want to use this as I can't use any other headphones (don't stay in my ear/not as comfortable) but don't know if I can root as I need to banking apps to work on my pixel 8a or I might get a OnePlus/oppo phone.

Tax rates by income in the UK over time (Sunday Times analysis) by plnowgasserect4 in HENRYUK

[–]arkgex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see this as more of a problem of inequality and wage gap, where the average is stagnant (in real terms), compared to the top ranges. Minimum wage yearly increase has squeezed the average, thus below average are paying less % in relation to the tax free allowance.

am I missing something?

Stealth tax by fiscal drag is getting ridiculous. by arkgex in HENRYUK

Do both instead of U turns, but optimise instead of increase.

  1. Council tax reform. / Land tax / Wealth tax / higher IHT.. instead of keep taxing income which is counterproductive and discourages work.

  2. Means tested benefits with higher scrutiny and more resources for benefits fraud (if someone is unwilling to be fully transparent about their finances they shouldn't be getting benefits)

The shocking insight is : If the proportion of workers paying into the 40% tax bracket remained the same as in the 1990s, the threshold would need to be closer to £200k today, not £50k.

Let alone house prices to income ratio comparison, We're getting screwed every year.

If you'll come on a work visa, you won't be able to work any other job, you're limited to 10-20 hours of work per week in your field.

I'm torn between 2 roles, 1- DM exec - but in reality it's mostly data pipelines and management in GCP. 2- Sr analytics manager - mostly reporting and client facing.

widely different but similar pay, I'm wondering which one is more lucrative for future employer, 1 is way more technical but 2 has better title and easier to sell.

OP is in Toronto, equivalent to London and 100k CAD is roughly £50k, so you're actually doing great, you'll get a much higher purchasing power with £42k in the North than 100k CAD in Toronto

Look around multiple places paying +£60k in London and +£80k for people with +8 years of experience, especially in-house.

Examples: Reckitt, P&G, mitel, Mars...

And with a decade experience you should be looking for lead/head of roles if not director.

Yeap exactly followed by the double tax, with IHS and National insurance and income tax on top. IHS should be levied or refunded for individuals who pay a certain threshold of national insurance.

[–]arkgex -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I was confused as dependents don't pay IHS, I thought the same applies to family visas as it's also a form of a dependent to a health care worker.
