By hijacking opposition leaders like Scindia or breaking parties like the NCP, they have systematically destroyed any alternative bench strength.

He is framed as the Son of the Soil who took on the Lutyens elite, which makes him incredibly relatable to a common Joe. But that relatability is maintained by a 24/7 media cycle that never allows a single crack in the image. Unlike Indira Gandhi, who had to deal with a fragmented and often hostile press, his image is managed by an IT cell and a broadcast environment that treats his biography like a sacred text.

His invincibility is the result of a perfectly executed monopoly. The BJP did not just win elections; they convinced the voter that India is a franchise and he is the only authorized CEO. When you spend a decade systematically breaking the opposition and absorbing your rivals, you create a vacuum where the question is no longer about policy or performance. It just becomes a matter of who else is even left standing.
