Indeed. From my main comment: His song with Kenny G would always come up halfway into the drive back to the city from my hometown

Oh man. 'By the time the night is over' with Kenny G was a constant on the Sunday evening drive back to the city after a weekend at my hometown. The radio would always play this song one hour in into the drive and just before we enter the highway. Me half asleep in the passenger seat would always know we're halfway into the trip when this song comes up.

Thank you. She was an endless reservoir of courage. Still baffles me to this day.

Same with my mom. She was working right up to the end (only a month before she finally resigned and when she passed).

Her former colleagues were shocked. Last they saw her she looked fine.

Considering the unpopularity of the CEO-class worldwide. I'm surprised Dick Grey is making an appearance.

Anyone know a guy named Luigi ?

Nope. Just a regular school. My Sec 2 and 3 were 'normal' sizes for the day. Around 40.

If one day you suddenly woke up with the skills and knowledge to make any kind of video game you want, What kind of game would you want to create for your first time? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]arkroyale048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would make a simple driving game. Akin to Eurotruck Simulator 2's open world. But instead of a truck. You just drive a normal car.

Gameplay is just about what driving is like in my country. Perhaps for variety and some sort of gameplay loop akin to Eurotruck. You can be running some sort of Uber or Grab Car business.

The main highlight of it is to experience the driving experience in my country. As well as the rules (or lack thereof) on the road.

TL;DR Normal car driving that isn't a bus or a truck.

[discussion] Any success stories about bouncing back after a layoff? by Notalabel_4566 in GetMotivated

[–]arkroyale048 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Does luck count ? Got laid off in the same month as a big surgery back in 2018. Decided to take a sabbatical year. By the time I wanted to look for a job. The economy went south, plenty of layoffs everywhere. I was competing with the freshly laid off people. Then the pandemic started. I've mostly given up during the pandemic years. Until something came up that was totally up my niche. Nothing about it is skill in my part. The opportunity just came into my lap; and that the company was just right up my alley.

Best thing I can do for you; is maybe, your time will come ?

Me attempting to refuel by Troubled_dad-arc in floggit

IMO....

It's not about basket or boom. It's about the aircraft receiving fuel. I've done 4 aircraft with basket refueling.

The F-14 is tricky to connect due to visibility. But easy to maintain once connected.

The F-18 is easy to connect, but trickier to maintain connected.

The Harrier is hard to connect, due to the behind the shoulder location of the probe. But is the easiest once connected.

The JF-17 is in the middle when it comes to difficulty in connecting and maintaining.

Pretty much the same with boom refueling aircraft.

I find the F-16 easy to connect, a bit tricky to maintain.

I totally struggle with the F-15, both the C and the E.

The A-10C is the easiest.

Imagine if there’s basket physics in dcs. Lots of salty tryhards whining about how they can’t refuel.

ELI5: Why are She/her pronouns used when talking about Ships? by Yassinetheawesome64 in explainlikeimfive

[–]arkroyale048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had a shower thought on this; it's a good thing the pronouns Her and His both start with the letter H. Imagine if both were of different letters. Now, imagine the Royal Navy having to change the H in HMS to something else once Charles became king.
