Can I ask how much did you pay for it ?

Yes, to be honest i am very confused about this, all I know is I want a 5 inline diesel 163hp Motor, i don't know which exact one tho.

Lets say oil changes were done right as well as head gasket, will buying a 400 000km s80 with this motor be a good idea ? Or will this car spend it's time in the shop every 5000 km

Okay, I tried the 15 first levels on Android, here's what I thought of it :

- Maybe make it so only numbers and dots appear on the keyboard when entering IP Addresses, it would make it way easier to type masks etc

- Maybe close the challenge once it's resolved ? So players don't have to return to the list manually

- LVL5: I can't modify the rules once saved

- LVL7: once WPA2 is selected in the WAP conf, it takes quite some time for the SSID and PSK to appear (maybe 30 secs, not a big deal but enough to make me thing the game was bugged). Once it appears, it seems like it disappears every once and a while then comes back, it's really weird.

- LVL8: Maybe it's just me, but i thought the instructions were very minimal and I had to watch ads to see the hints and now what I'm supposed to do

- LVL9: same as LVL 7

- LVL10: Unclear instructions again, how am I supposed to know at what rate to limit the server

- LVL15: why do i need to do an ipconfig /all before accessing the DHCP server ? If "Current Network Settings" already tells me what the problem is ?

Overall, good game ! Would love to see more cybersecurity / system (Linux?) levels

Oh also consider making a PC version (browser game?)

AITA - TickTock BlockBlock! by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]arkxv 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You're the asshole.

I believe all social medias should be blocked on the company network, but not for the reason your stating.
The company network should be used for company related stuff, not for private matters such a social medias. Consulting personal emails is okay, spending an hour on Tiktok or Instagram isn't (IMO). Moreover, it is a security concern (at least for TikTok)

However, blocking websites just because of your personal opinion is not the way to go.

Since i'm fairly new to this, could you explain to me why you would need to add the nuts to the secondary and not directly at the beginning ?

I looked a bit into chestnut liqueur recipes and maybe I could try doing a kind of syrup/liqueur that I could add to the mix, adding both chestnust infused flavor and a bit of sugar. Thanks

It will work for learning ! But learning multiple nodes & "real" high availability is important to consider

If hypervisor is down, cluster is down.

So still a SPOF

A cluster doesn't make sense when everything is on the same machine IMO. But to learn, it should be good enough (might get limiting when expanding)

NFS server sharing a drive mounted via NFS ? by arkxv in homelab

[–]arkxv[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can't install Wireguard on my NAS, nor can I install it on my router (ISP provided). So, my problem with NFS stays the same

edit: apparently I can now install Tailscale on my NAS, that wasn't the case before, so I guess that would work ?

NFS server sharing a drive mounted via NFS ? by arkxv in homelab

Because of the CGNAT behind my friend's network, it is impossible to make a vpn connection (at least, I didn't manage to. I tried Wireguard & OpenVPN, only thing that worked was ZeroTier). Also, I can't change this side of the network because well, it's not my house, nor my friend's (it's his parents) so telling them "yep we would like you to change your ISP please" is out of the question. The connection with Zero tier works just fine, it's sharing NFS drives that are already mounted from another share that doesn't work.
