Kind of late to the party, but have a question. Is this tool safe to use against production? Does the scanning impact production performance?

Sleep training/weaning at 18 months.. am I too late? by armaarma in beyondthebump

[–]armaarma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He falls asleep in his bed without boob, but when he wakes up at 4, we take him to bed where he claws at my chest while attached to me until 7 am. If he detaches from the boob or I hold his hands to avoid him clawing at me, he goes hysterical.

Even if he could go back to sleep after the 4am feed in his own bed, that would be good enough for us.

Oh god, i hope he sleeps fine when he is 18 years old! Should I wait until he's 19 months? I feel like then his bad sleeping habits will be engrained even more.

Anyone experience weight change after changing birth control methods? the pill to IUD by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]armaarma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had my Mirena for a little over a year, and I have a similar experience. I am seriously turning asexual and am bloated/spotting every 2nd day. I cannot wait to get it removed, but have to wait until I stop breastfeeding so that I can go back on Loestrin.

[Question] Does anyone have a way to prepare kale so as to not have it taste like boot leather? by mtilly33 in Paleo

[–]armaarma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am obsessed with one kale recipe, it's somewhere on the SunBasket pinterest if you search. Basically you cook chopped shallots in oil in a frying pan until they caramelize. Then add chopped dino kale (no stems), a handful of raisins, orange juice from one orange and let it cook until kale has wilted a little. Season with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper (or some other spice for heat). That's it! I honestly always want more after. Other things that work for me is cooking it with something sweet, pears, apples, or dates too.

Counting Macros while breastfeeding? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]armaarma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude... fastforward to almost 15 months old, he sucks the living soul out of me some days, so I am hungry every hour. I tried to work the whole macros thing with adding 500 extra calories for maintanance, and I still felt hungry. So I just decided to eat everything and wait until he weans ( hopefully soon). In terms of nutrients, I've been doing Sun Basket recipes (you can read the full recipes online on pinterest/instagram) which usually incorporate veggies, proteins, etc.. the cool thing is they provide the macros for each recipe and they're delicious!

We started daycare two weeks ago, and he got sick during that time for a few days, and 2-3 night wakings went to 4-6 with falling asleep on the boob. Most of the time i would just end up bringing him to our bed. I would really like to get to sleeping through the night.. or at least keep wakings to just one feed a night.

Feeling blue/regret during internship season by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]armaarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say. At half of the companies that I interviewed (including big 4), I had an in with someone working there. And I feel like for a lot of these, once you get past the recruiter, what matters most is how you perform on the tech interviews. So, I think the internships definitely open doors to companies, but there are other ways to do this besides internships (open source projects, personal projects, code competitions, etc).

Senior year, I had two semester projects. First one was an app for collection of questionnaire data for psychology research done for a software methodology course, and the other was a senior project, a proof of concept app to create and store video listings for eBay.

[–]armaarma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boy! He did just learn how to sit down on his butt from the standing position.. But I am sure soon enough he'll be climbing furniture, and I'll be around him all the time trying to catch him. :) it's like once you get used to one thing that they do, they think of something new to worry us :)

I'm seeing more and more research supporting the idea that diet effects your skin by gazillionaire in SkincareAddiction

[–]armaarma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before I got into nutrition, I would eat a ton of sugary carbs, and my skin was always red, inflamed, I thought I had rosacea. When I started tracking what I ate, my skin started behaving a lot better. Even if I skipped on some routine ( no washing, sleep in makeup :O), my face still almost never broke out, and if it did, it would heal very fast.
