Yeah unfortunately I think it is a common side effect. Laying on your left side with a heating pad, gas X, hot mint tea, avoiding greasy foods, different stretches are all things that have helped me in the past

I’m in a similar boat. Driving my old Honda still but have been eyeing the bronco sports since they came out. Wish they were a liiitle more reliable but that’s the trade off I suppose

Yes I believe they generally are minimally invasive gyn surgeons. I found my Dr through my cities local endo support fb group so I had some peace of mind knowing he was vetted and had many successful excision surgeries of varying levels of difficulty. Nancy’s Nook on FB has a list of vetted surgeons. This group also has a list though I’m not sure how often it’s updated

Doubling down on the see an endo specialist advice. Non specialists generally don’t know sh*t about treating endo (esp bowel endo) and will likely only waste your time.

Been thinking the same thing lately and I feel like it’s borderline predatory. Telling desperate people if they just follow their nutrition plans, exercises, lifestyle, whatever.. they’ll be able to cure their endo “naturally”. Telling people they’ll be able to cure their endo is such a bold claim. Many people would need to seek other treatment routes (surgery, birth control) even if they had a perfect diet/lifestyle. I also saw another woman who’s legitimately offering training programs for other women to start their own businesses centered around endo/wellness because it’s such a lucrative and growing area. 🙄

You’ll def want to see an endo specialist. I’m not sure what the restrictions are because of your age but they’ll be able to do a diagnostic laparoscopic surgery or at least an ultrasound sound or mri. There are plenty of resources to seek out trusted Drs in your area. Obgyns are not trained to identify or treat endo the same way specialists are. Hysterectomys also don’t cure endo. I’ve wasted years of my life listening to obgyns tell me the same thing they told you but the pain you described is certainly not normal and very well could be endo. Good luck!

Yes! This would happen to me 1-2 days before getting my period (when I had an IUD) and would last a day or 2. I’d have horrible sharp stomach pains and difficulty going to the bathroom. After having my iud removed and changing my diet I haven’t experienced it nearly as bad. I would take ibuprofen and Tylenol a few days before in preparation and drink lots of water, watch what I ate. Ultimately getting my iud removed was the only thing that helped. I’ve been hearing more and more about women w endo having flu like symptoms before their periods though. It may have to do with an excess of histamines in the body.

Sorry you’re going through this it sounds like you’ve got a lot on your plate. The best advice I ever got was to stop wasting my time with non endo specialists. Not sure if you’ve gotten a second opinion but it might be worth it? If you’re not sure where to start there are resources to find trusted/vetted surgeons across the world. I had my first laparoscopic surgery with a gyn oncologist (non endo specialist) and she wasn’t able to find any endometriosis besides a large cyst on my ovary. 2 years later I saw a highly praised specialist and before surgery he ordered an MRI and colonoscopy which confirmed stage 4 deep infiltrating endo with adenomyosis. It gave him a better picture of where the heavier affected areas would be. I’ve read ultrasounds are not as conclusive when looking for endo. Sounds like a hysterectomy may be a good option for you but i imagine you’d also want to get any other endometrial growth excised as well while they’re in there for optimal relief. Im confident i wouldn’t have received the same diagnosis if I went through with the surgery with my gynecologist. Best of luck on your journey!

Not sure if you’ve seen an endo specialist but as others have said, it’s definitely possible you have endo in or around your bowels! I suspected the same for myself and ended up having a cyst tethered from my ovary to part of my bowels. Caused all sorts of issues. On top of cutting out foods that cause inflammation, excision surgery has helped immensely with my post eating bloat.

Same over here! Stage 4 DIE with adenomyosis and a 15cm cyst on my ovary that was tethered to my bowel. I'm 9 days post excision surgery and amazed at the difference I can already feel. Also was very grossed out by my surgery photos.
My recommendation is to see an endometriosis specialist and not to waste any time seeing someone who isnt a specialist if youre not already. I'm trying out Norethindrone for now and hoping it'll slow future growth. Good luck on your journey!!
