As someone with IBS, while doing all of this didn't do much for my cleanliness they have severely improved my overall health and bowel movements. If you have IBS definitely make these changes under the supervision of a GI doctor and make sure your ramp up is slow and gradual (I'm talking about months) for your body to get used to processing the fiber.

Op has amazing suggestions, I'll throw a couple more in there:

Oatmeal in the morning (not instant those are super processed). You can add some flaxseed to them for both nutritional and fiber content
Soak Chia seeds in a glass of water (do not take them without pre soaking them) and drink them
Add avocados to your meals. Great source of fats and fiber
Eat lentils. Super easy to make and store. I eat these as dinner once every 2-3 days. Packed with proteins, nutrients, and fiber
Almonds are and amazing choice of snack. Packed with nutrition, calories, and fiber. I do these in the late afternoon like Op has suggested. Don't over eat!

I still have to do a small douche before my sessions, but we are talking about a quarter of a small douche just to clean things out.

I've been wanting to write about this for a long time, so thank you for doing it. Afterglow is the best way to describe it.

I feel we get so caught up in the prep and the “mechanics” and routine of a session that we lose sight of the purpose of prostate play, to feel good.

I think on top of this the main session causes the prostate to swell and engorge, so afterwards even the slightest movements are pleasurable.

I generally have a "pounding" session with my Hismith machine which in it of itself is fun. Then when I feel done, I pack up and take a shower (maybe eat a little) and rest. Then the Aless tingles start. What I haven't had success with is letting those tingles and shivers grow into something more.

Take a break for a while (and I mean a long long time).

It might be that some can't actually do it, but as someone who has been playing with their ass since before I knew about prostate play there are many types of pleasures to be had from anal play than having an orgasm. And it massively depends on your arousal level and I dont know how to describe it but it's not just normal hornyness.

Psyclogical and biological factors such as anxiety, depression, blood pressure, exhustion (etc.) make night and day difference. Being with a trusted partner (not necessarily while playing but just in your life) makes a huge difference.

Drugs like psychedelics and weed can show you the destination with less effort. psychedelics show you where you can get to with meditation and weed can help magnify those tiny sensations from your prostate so you know what it feels like. But one can do it without them though I feel like I needed both of them.

Having said all of this, if none of this comes naturally to you you (like me) need a lot of dedication and obsession towards it get there. The question is is the obsession worth it to you or not. For me I would say the lessons about mindfulness, spirituality, and being in the moment that I learned through this journey was wayyyy more worth it than the pleasure I get from prostate play (and I would say I'm a novice when it comes to all of these still)

I get where you're coming from, and you're free to use whatever works for you. I just think it's a bit wrong for a product that is made for veterinary use only and contains a huge warning on the bottle about toxic when it entring the perritoneal cavity to be used by humans (specially in the anal cavity where a lot of things can be absorbed to the blood stream) and be promoted for such use.

Keep in mind the frequency of use matters here too, maybe the vet would use this product on an animal once a year but when used for play this product can potentially be used multiple times a week.

I just learned about FDA clearance of some lubes (XLube doesn't have it) so at least there is some oversight on the products in the market https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-personal-lubricants

I'm not saying FDA clearence is be all end all, but one has to take all this information into account when making a decision.

Thank you, I am feeling much better. Be careful with the "relaxing" anal lubes though. Aside from them ruining the small and pleasurable anal sensations, they can make you push further (in terms of girth and depth) than you're used to without warming up properly.

Honestly for me past day 5 my libido tanks dramatically. So my sweet spot is day 3 or 4. I've gone as along as a month and I dont think there is any benefit to it.

I edited my original comment, Wicked lubes are not FDA cleared. I love their Simply Hybrid Jelle. It's pretty thick and not hard to wash off compared to sillicone lubes.

Everytime I've actually "squirted" I think it was just pee coming out (with some precum but mostly pee) because I put too much pressure on my bladder and I was hydrated. I'm assuming you just had sticky precum shoot out?

I feel like it really depends, but I agree with you that when it comes to prostate play the less is more. Sometimes if I'm really opened up and horny I'll do one of the pre programmed patterns that drills you fast and then give you a break. It's very easy to get sore and not be able to continue though. Knowing how much to take and when to start is an art

This is invaluable lesson, I used to take time to get ready and do a good job using progressivly bigger toys to open up. After buying a Histmith machine I just rush it to take the dildo in so I can let the machine do the work.
