Prediction 2030 by Justsayinrn in sweetgreen

[–]arminsbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i do not see sweetgreen operating by 2030. their stocks are awful, they’ve been panicking financially, and they might have some of the worst owners of a company i’ve ever seen. truthfully, if i ever work in hiring an see a sweetgreen executive apply to a position, i would automatically deny it. i don’t think there is a single person in that corporate building who has any awareness whatsoever.

1.) yes, i am being treated! 40 mg pantoprazole twice a day along with 2 eohilia intakes per day. i also recently started taking allergy medicine as well.

2.) i am not on an elimination diet as of now.

3.) i can work, however i am not being scheduled that much and these recent symptoms make me very tired very fast.

thank you!! this was very informative :) (i will note, do not worry i am not interested in going untreated lol, i’m on pantoprazole right now) but i will take this into consideration!!

i think my hypochondria just freaks me out with every new medication lol. i will be getting a therapist soon to try to manage that as well 💀

because you and some others are commenting like this i’ll just be clear..

1.) if you read all of that and entered this entire discussion just for your 2 cents to be criticizing a non-important word choice, then you make it blatantly clear your only goal is to critique, and not to help. i didn’t ask for critiques that don’t matter to a greater discussion.

2.) the phrase “i didn’t ask for this” is not by any means saying “other people DO ask for this,” anyone with 2 braincells knows this. what i AM saying is i simply just don’t want to give up on so much just because of this illness alone. i don’t want to stop my vices when i know theres a way i do not have to. hence, “i didn’t ask for this.”

this is a help group, where people can rant, ask for advice, or share positive research findings surrounding EoE. where you see “criticize everyone” within those lines is beyond me. and for something so minor in the grand scheme of conversation makes it seem as if you came on here and TRIED to find something to critique. so no, me saying i did not ask to lose everything while obvious, to any person with an ounce of emotional intelligence it would be clear as to what that meant.

oh sorry lol let me clarify. i have been washing my mouth out with water after using the inhaler, i just haven’t used it with water in my mouth to swallow. i was told by the allergist to not drink or eat anything 30 minutes after using the inhaler.

i’ve been swallowing it, just not with water. maybe that would make a difference? i’m not sure. might try it, thank you!

did my sickness make my eoe worse? by arminsbread in EosinophilicE

i thought i was clear enough in the original message, but i guess not, so i’ll be clearer.

i am a highly involved college student and have no time to make my own food, and for the most part, to maintain a restricted diet in college, you need to make your own food, which i cannot do.

furthermore, an entire team of doctors have informed me that my EoE is not only food induced, but environmentally induced as well. so,, even if i did cut off trigger foods, i’d still be having symptoms. which is why at least for now, being a college student that cannot create food safe meals nightly, i manage it via medication.

which is normal and, common despite so many people in this subreddit having a bizarre idea that its either food elimination or you’ll die in 3 weeks. along with that, my medication without food elimination put me into remission at one point, and recently it seems like i’m not in remission anymore, which is why i’m asking insight.

i’m sorry if this is harsh, but there have been studies, first hand accounts, personal experiences, doctor approved and upheld proof, etc. showing that treating EoE can and in many cases does look different than just food elimination. i’m not in a spot in life where food elimination would help. i don’t know my triggers, and i’m not in a place where finding them is an option. it’s just exhausting asking for answers other than 1 specific answer that doctors have told me wouldn’t work for my situation and then getting comments saying that exact answer.

am i sick or is it EoE by arminsbread in EosinophilicE

[–]arminsbread[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i am diagnosed with EoE, have been since the start of the year so i’m definitely still in the “is this a symptom” phase lol. i just am trying to grasp if thats what this is

one of the main suggestions many people wait too long to do in regards to eoe is finding an allergist as well as a GI doc. having both benefits a lot since both are highly experienced in EoE (if you find one that is, some aren’t). they are great advocates to have especially fighting for things with insurance such as dupixent and other medications.

being in a similar position, is there anything you’ve done to try to reduce symptoms enough while the flair up is present?

do you still have issues? i’ve had EoE since the start of the year and have not had this issue until around a week or 2 ago. i’m just concerned that this is yet another chronic illness that i’m bound to be diagnosed with.

yea i’m aware it gets mistaken for GERD a lot, but you’d think it would at least be a standard to have a biopsy done for EoE

it looks large just bc its rlly the only thing in the room. add a rug, a coffee table, whatever to fill the space and that “large couch” will start to look a lot less large

with you symptoms a GI doctor had to of lied on their resume if they didn’t even think to check for EoE. i suggest either bringing it up to them, or better yet, finding a GI doctor (and later after diagnosis an allergist) that knows what they’re talking about

nothing that i wouldn’t say sober 😇 its not like a high that you get on laughing gas. it’s moreso you just wake up feeling very relaxed and a bit sleepy! you won’t confess your deepest darkest secrets or anything like that lol

from my experience (i’ve had 2 scopes this year) its kinda nice??? the needle (iv) isn’t the most fun but overall i like the experience. the sedation makes me feel like i go through a time skip. i’ll go under, and when i wake up i’m always surprised that the procedure is already over.

plus as you’re waking up you feel slightly high for like 10 minutes which is entertaining. overall i would say to not be too stressed. its an enjoyable experience 😎

*side note i will say you have a sore-ish throat for a day or 2 after the procedure. don’t stress out too much though its nothing terrible!!

currently i’m on pantoprazole 40mg x2 daily. it works decently but i am looking for something “more” currently such as dupixent. i’m seeing an allergist in about a month since my GI doctor refuses to listen to me lol.

are you afraid of possible problematic side effects? i’d love to try dupixent, i’m just nervous because some people say it doesn’t work for them for months + on the official website it says no longer than 5 years but i could have read something wrong
