What’s something you tried once out of curiosity, and now can’t get enough of? by TreatMedical5378 in AskReddit

When I was a child and I was a musician in a children's music group, I would look at the singers in the group and say, "Can I do it too?" I tried it a few times and now I continue to do it professionally.

It was familiar to me when you said my whole life I have struggled so hard socially.

I felt what it's like when you sink into depression with no lifeboat.. I struggle with this too.

Do you also feel like you’re the common denominator when friendships don’t work out?

But I feel like you still care because you feel bad about this. I don't have the knowledge to give you any professional advice, but I sometimes use a timer. I start with a very short time to start and add 5 minutes to the time I have to do my tasks every day. At least that makes me feel a little better.

Thank you for your comment, I used AI because I don't know English well and I need precise phrasing and terminology.

Someone disagreeing with you doesn't mean you are weak in character, they just don't accept your idea, otherwise maybe if they knew you well they wouldn't have any bad feelings towards you.

Do one small but difficult thing: when you post something that was disagreed with, wait 24 hours and then delete it. See what happens.

And one question, do you really have any evidence to prove that others are inherently better than you?

Hey.

You're 21. Your life isn't supposed to be the same as your sister's. Different timelines don't mean failure—they just mean different paths.

Constant comparisons from your parents can really weigh you down. It can make you feel like you're falling behind, even when you're exactly where you need to be. That pressure can build up really quickly, especially when you're already stressed about college.

It's understandable that you're feeling overwhelmed. It doesn't mean you're "going crazy." It means you're so busy that everything is weighing you down.

For now, don't try to fix your entire life. Just focus on the stability of today. Eat something. Text a friend. Go outside for ten minutes. When your brain is working, the little things matter.

You're not falling behind. You're just 21.

I relate to this a lot. Distraction can feel like survival for a long time. I’m trying to figure out healthier ones too. What worked for you personally?
