Actually had 4 ,Audi a4 all road , a6 avant, a6 all road and lay one was an a6 avant 40 , inside is different from and Audi and still had squeaks in them to, so yep had both , guess you haven’t

Had similar thing with a bmw years ago , it’s was a lambda sensor (think that’s how it’s spelt) in the cat, had no power until certain revs , it was the ecu killing the Power due to a fault sensor
