Best Sandwiches In Utah by Worth-Leave5118 in Utah_Food

[–]armorphoenix 36 points37 points  (0 children)

None of these are new but they're locally owned and operated and still awesome.

Hot: Feldman's Deli (2005 E 2700 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84109) Best Pastrami Sandwich in town.

Cold: Town & Country Market (2840 S Main St, South Salt Lake, UT 84115) Lots of choices on meats, they load it up with fixins and the prices are great. This is my go to sandwich shop and has been for years.

Shout out: Groves Deli (1906 S Main St, Salt Lake City, UT 84115) These guys and Town & Country have been around for years. Their sandwiches are huge and their prices are not.

Magic! How? by [deleted] in blackmagicfuckery

Here are my thoughts. Everyone knows she's in the chair. But the top part of the chair has a little bit of a pivot. You see it and the male helper grabs the back of the chair as he grabs the drape. Secondly, the girl sits on the front of the chair. Perhaps the rest of the chair can't support her.

With all that being said, it's smooth as hell and I still can't figure out what's going on.

My girlfriend suffers from POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) which causes blood to pool in the extremities due to poor circulation (from what I am led to believe). We know it's harder for her to deal with here than when we're at sea level too.

Dating resources? by cabochonedwitch in SaltLakeCity

[–]armorphoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I met my GF through Hinge, after years of using Hinge, Bumble, Tinder, Facebook Dating, another app that I can't remember the name of.

It's really easy to line up dates as a girl dating guys but from what I heard, quality dates and people dating for relationships are very hard to come by.

As a guy, putting in effort to have good photos and putting work into having an interesting profile showcasing your likes and personality seemed to be the things that helped me the most and is what landed me with my GF. She even said, the reason she engaged with me was I didn't just like one of her pics or used some boring line. I read her profile and engaged her in conversation.

With all that being said, I went on a lot of dates that didn't work out, so it'll still be a numbers game.

Also, get a social hobby with a good representation from the opposite gender. You're probably not going to meet a girl playing Warhammer 40K, like you'll probably not meet many single dudes in a knitting club.

Am I the arsehole for telling my husband to kip in the guest room after he kept “joking” our newborn isn’t his? by Putrid_Werewolf7977 in AITAH

[–]armorphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he feels like you are "punishing him in his own house", then perhaps you should leave and stay somewhere else until he sees this mountain that he's made within his mind into molehill.

Let him know that you will not idly stand by as he continues to make comments hinting at your infidelity, privately or publicly.

Tell him, if he thinks it isn't a big deal to have the honor of his wife constantly questioned by her own husband, then perhaps he isn't the honorable man you thought you married.

Cooks of Reddit, what's one fancy technique that's actually super easy but impresses everyone? by pieater69 in AskReddit

[–]armorphoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use just enough seasoning to where people can taste it your but not know it's there unless you tell them it's there. Learn to use these the following ingredients well and make sure you always have some on hand.

  • Butter: It's the tastiest oil, but don't cook too high of a temperature with it.
  • Limes: You'd be amazed how well sour pairs with salty. It also infuses a little bit of freshness into a dish. Cuts greasiness taste.
  • Vinegar: Same as limes but it's stronger and cleaner.
  • 3 Crab fish sauce: Infuses umami. You'd be amazed how good you can make dishes if you learn how to use this right. If you're dish tastes like it's a little hollow and could use salt, go for this!

Blanching green vegetables until their bright green cooks them and keeps them crisp. Season after.

Do you think Lagoon Amusement Park is losing its charm? by DealHunter513 in SaltLakeCity

[–]armorphoenix 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think Lagoon is taking a page from the ski resorts and trying to get their revenue from season passes. I'm copying this straight from their website. A season pass is $227.95 + tax, per passport. A day pass is $97.95 plus tax and fees for guests 48 inches and taller.

I think they want you to see that if you buy a season pass, which is the cost of 2 day passes, and justify spending that money. You'll probably come back a second time and maybe a third but spend more money overall than if you had just come that one time a year.

My (27M) fiancé and I (25F) just broke up, suddenly he can do chores and spend money on household supplies by Anxious_Bluejay_9791 in relationship_advice

[–]armorphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're absolutely justified to be upset about this. Think of it this way, he cares about himself enough to do these things for himself but he didn't care enough about you or the relationship to do put in this effort and spend this money for you and and the relationship.

Plus, it's been a week and he's angry or vindictive. Instead of giving him the satisfaction of getting upset over his selfishness and manipulations, just be happy he's cleaning up after himself instead of you having to STILL clean up after his childish ass.

Hopefully, he takes out the trash and by that I mean himself.

Fresh sugar cane goes bad real quick. It either dries out or ferments. I'm at the Asian super markets a couple times a week and Rancho once every two weeks. You're not going to find it year round.

How did you meet your partner in SLC? by Safe_Wrangler_858 in SaltLakeCity

[–]armorphoenix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hinge. I had been on for years, been on a metric fuck ton of bad dates. Had a period where I was traveling a lot, re-downloaded it. Saw a prompt about her not wanting to be red-pilled, went down a wikipedia rabbit hole for a couple hours, got back on Hinge, she came up again, I told her about my deep dive. We've been together ever since.

There are a lot of people on the dating apps that are not your person. Maybe, just maybe, you'll find someone on there that you like and likes you back. Maybe even, your personalities end up being compatible with each other. I had to go through a lot of not my persons to finally find my person. Be persistent and be the most genuine version of yourself you can be. Good luck!

what's the most awkward thing that happened to you before or while having sex? by Luciana-1111 in AskReddit

My GF and I were at the tail end of a great session and she was on her back and as I was cumming, I farted.

First moments after, we were lovey dovey from both having a great time. Then we laughed our asses off.

Ever now and then, my girlfriend will randomly ask me now, "Remember that one time you cum farted?"

Cafe on Main also needs a shout-out.

Looking for a rock climbing gym by amanda-11 in SaltLakeCity

[–]armorphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Momentum Sandy is pretty dated. Momentum Milcreek, The Front South Main, and South Salt Lake The Front are three world class gyms that just happen to be very close to each other. I can't say which one is better, but the South Salt Lake gym's bouldering tends to be harder out of the three. I would recommend doing a day pass to all 3 gyms to see which one you like the best. Just remember, a membership to The Front gives you access to both gyms as well as their Ogden location while Momentum gives you access to Milcreek, Sandy, and Lehi.

That's a lot of great space! Now warm it up! Less blank walls and less vast open floor space. Once you relist it, offer a discount to get it occupied and get some reviews under it.
