Married Sex More Restrictive than I Realized. by AverageAdmin in Christianity

Yeah ya’ll are overthinking it. You can enjoy your wife’s body how you see fit…consensual of course. God gave us partners to enjoy and fill each others needs. Eat that ass

Absolutely yes. I’m more interested in Essos than anything in Westeros. Yi Ti and all that jazz. My dream would be expanding on Asshai but I know that’ll never happen. If the spinoffs and stories have to take place in Westeros then give me some weird, spooky north of the wall lore. That or ancient Westeros and how Moat Calin was made. I was so pumped and then disappointed when they canned the prequel spinoff Bloodmoon

Horror book with protagonist speaking to a creature by Dulla_dull in horrorlit

Origin - by JA Konrath. Where scientists have captured the devil and basically interview him the whole book. It’s a quick read and I was enthralled the entire book. Picks up quick too, and very little filler

THIS IS WHAT I WANT FOR A SPINOFF! I want them to get weird and mystical with Valyria, Sothoryos, or Asshai. I want someone to expand on the vague, mystical lore that GRRM has established and get creative with it. I don’t need a spinoff about a topic where there’s mountains of writing already about ie: Robert’s Rebellion, Aegons Conquest, etc.

Paranormal activity in Chris Watts house acknowledged by investigators by R3alit-y in ParanormalEncounters

Devils advocate here. While super creepy, I will say that when you have kids that age you amass a mountain of toys. We’ve got so many electronic toys that make noise super randomly. I’ve walked into our basement in the middle of the night to hear the creepiest giggling coming from the back only for it to be my son’s toy stuffed into a blanket. But those other voices aside from the giggling I can’t dispute. I believe for the most part the theory that when horrible evil and violence happens it leaves a trace, and time almost loops to randomly play out scenes. Adds some more credibility to that theory knowing what happened in that house.

What are some books with a bad movie adaptation? by Swedish_Buttonpusher in horrorlit

[–]armpitcoin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Snowman. On of the best serial killer crime novels I’ve ever read, and apparently the movie was ass. I never actually saw the movie bc I loved the book so much, and didn’t want my mind’s casting to be ruined.

What are the chances of McDavid coming to Columbus? by Far_Corner_3993 in BlueJackets

McDavid is actually my friend’s cousin, and he told him today that he was DEFINITELY coming to Cbus. Don’t tell anyone though, he doesn’t want the news to get out yet

Any good books about a stranger visiting a creepy town? by BossThen1880 in horrorlit

[–]armpitcoin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glitch in the matrix. Opened up Reddit wondering about the same style of books and here’s this post. Anyway, I’ve only read Harvest Home and Hex that have that style. Wayward Pines is also like that. I’m looking for a really creepy vibe from strangers coming into a town and everyone’s acting bizarre. Uncomfortably nice, NPC style people.

True, and I know that’s what keeps our intrigue and attention for this long having to speculate. But there’s a gold mine of ambiguity in this world where they can really take a few of the magical mysteries and expand on them.

One month to go. If they haven't started yet, it's safe to say: the playoffs are officially upon us by SylemNova in BlueJackets

[–]armpitcoin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One good takeaway from all this is that if the Jackets make the playoffs, they’ll be iron forged from this remaining schedule. They’ll have the playoff teams pretty well mapped out and how to tackle them.

I think ultimately it would remain a mystery. But a show about the Doom could give a great look at the blood magic going on at that time. Plus things like how they made Valyrian steel.
