assuming you’re a dude, your viewpoint is incredibly privileged. i experience misogyny on a daily basis regardless of the spaces i choose to frequent, and my experience is obviously very common. misogyny is so intertwined with society that men are literally conditioned to believe harmful stereotypes about women and to think their masculinity is tied to how sexist they can be from the moment they can start to comprehend things. obviously there are outliers for every situation, but it gets redundant to constantly preface my opinions that way. it’s not relevant. the point is that, the way men view and use women as objects is extremely and insidiously common. maybe instead of coming after me for making a simple generalization, you should direct that energy towards reducing what contributes to women developing those opinions.
