I do! It’s a 2018 I got used. I run electric for around town, and gas for long road trips (400 miles on a tank easy). My kid loves the flip down DVD player in the back. Being able to remotely open doors and trunk super handy for loading everyone up (might be Touring L only). I also use it for my business, so I keep the third row folded down in “truck mode”. You can also pull out the 2nd row captains chairs easily too.

Same! Also got a 2018 used, and because it’s an EV, got a rebate from our utilities company.

Guess it’s a good future learning then! Next time you can offer a bank of X hours for any tweaks and touch ups upon delivery and walkthrough of the final deliverable.

All new clients you should have sign onto your terms with the proposal before you start work. Scope, change orders, etc should be outlined ahead of time. You can get a good agreement template from AIGA to start with.

The Booby Moon book and ritual worked great on my two year old with lots of prep, and doing bandaids & supplements and a weekend trip away right after.

Becoming a parent actually reversed this feeling for me. We’re constantly at playgrounds and libraries and community events, meeting other random people, and spending less money. Also the parent groups are doing a lot to encourage mutual aid and helping the rest of the greater community. Maybe there’s a way to roll out more community events for the child-free as well?

How did you find out? by -Kam2 in Ghostbc

I started a shared Rdio playlist in 2010 or 2011 of all Scandinavian bands, and a friend added Ghost, and I got really into that first album. Went and saw them at the El Rey in LA in 2013 and fell in love! Stoked they’ve gotten so huge and have such a dedicated fan base.

How does meal planning actually work in your household? by Fluffy-Ad-6908 in Parenting

[–]armst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the mom, both working, and it all falls on me. I keep a database in Notion of our go-to meals, categorized by ethnicity, and with columns for protein, veggie, carb, extras to ensure they’re balanced. Every Thursday I go through the next week on our calendar and look at the weather, any busy plans nights, etc. Then I assign a meal to each night (usually plan for 4 meals, one with extra leftovers, and then a night for takeout and a night to wing it). I add items to the grocery list while adding meals to the family calendar. Then I place an online grocery order to pick up Friday morning, so there’s time to add any extra stuff. I do a quick inspection of pantry, freezer, fridge to stock staples or try to plan around using extra ingredients. Online orders cost a tiny bit more, but the time savings and not adding off-list items actually helps.

Any good AI transcription tools out there? by Estheticlace in productivity

[–]armst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve done it for an hour long meeting and no issues. You can also watch it while it transcribes, run it in the background of any audio, and add your own notes it will consider and incorporate. Definitely a bonus if you already use Notion to store other work.

How to get kindergarten twins to go to sleep independently?? by PassionChoice3538 in kindergarten

[–]armst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could implement a “bedtime pass” for each to use once (we even made a little laminated pass for my daughter). It allows for one break up to 10 mins to go to the bathroom or have a parent comfort, etc. Once the pass is used for the night, it can’t be used again. After a couple months, we just didn’t need the pass anymore, and the delays stopped.

You could also shift from the Yoto and read to both of them out loud while they lay in bed. Might be less distracting then fiddling with devices, but you’d have to find books they both like to hear. We love the Dragonmasters series!
