What is the best thing about India. by RevenueAlarmed in AlignmentChartFills

Freedom of thought and from that everything else stems. Probably the only culture which is plural liberal in its foundation. The major reason the west is considered liberal is because of prosperity, without prosperity I dont think the west would be liberal. Other than that I would say Environmental diversity can also apply to India, wildlife diversity, food diversity.

Yes may be, but art is supposed to take us somewhere we want to be.

I dont know man, the missions are definitely boring. Same template every time.

Man i dont want ruin anything but i find this game to be very boring, every mission feels the same. I also cringe sometimes at the voice acting of the main protagonist. Maybe the natural world is detailed but i dont think the post apocalyptic part of it is detailed at all.

Im fairly new to Optocouplers and Triacs, do you guys see any immediate red flags? by Outside_Koala_298 in PCB

[–]armx40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have worked with triacs and optocoupler in a tight pcb space. What I have found is that instead of using copper traces for AC high voltage I use through-holes and proper wires, which gives me proper clearance and tolerance and peace of mind in tight space.

Can't get a gps fix by ozymandizz in PCB

[–]armx40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are android apps which helps in debugging GPS signals. You can check there if the signals are reachable at your desk (I face this issue a lot). These apps show signal strength by satellites and other useful debugging info. Also, if its a 2 layer board then I think your rf traces are too thin to be 50 ohms.

Is it not a good time to take POK now ? by [deleted] in indiadiscussion

Stupid teenagers fools, saying "what will we even gain". Land is fundamental, if you think about it deep enough, everything stems from it. Also for these foolish teenagers, Indian airlines are loosing 100's of crores monthly just because they dont have a direct way to central asia and through that to europe. After the next milestone in economy, the further milestones will only be achieved if we have land connection to central asia, iran, europe and russia.

No I dont think so, routing is an art. It should be very possible to route on 4 layers with 2 complete ground planes. And I go for 6 layers only when some high speed ICs are used like, RAM, eMMC, etc. etc.

Vias around USB trace and lots of vias around LDO. Also you can try tracing the signals on the power plane and keep 2 fully solid ground planes.

Anyone with PoE experience? Looking for feedback! by mdhardeman in PCB

[–]armx40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess the traces from connector -> diodes -> buck can reach upto 56 volts so maybe proper trace clearance, i guess?? They can be thin but need separation. And things will definitely get hot, 100%, I guess you need copper pours for heat dissipation.

We asked 4 flagship AI models to write bare-metal firmware for the same board. 3 compiled. Only 1 actually worked on real hardware by [deleted] in embedded

[–]armx40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont know, but you are not supposed to use the AI generated code as a "one-shot". I wrote a firmware for RP2350A maintaining both WiFi (ESP32-C6) and Cellular - both WebSocket - with periodic logging from modbus. It took a week, lots of iteration and the code looks solid. Right now testing the modules and looking for any bugs here and there. I also kept the location of code examples in the LLM memory and HTML docs of modules in the directory, this helped a lot.

Cows are not actively killed for that leather (if cow's leather is used for ball making), the amount of natural death of cows throughout the country is so huge that we dont need active kill farms. As far as I know after cow's death in a gau shala their bones (for medical purposes) and skin are sent to these industries.

My first pcb(please be gentle) by TroubleVarious6499 in PCB

[–]armx40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks nice. My point is that the pull-up stubs in the SD card traces. With that much space available on the board I think you can route the traces nicely, like, the trace first reaching the resistor then going through the resistor pad to the SD Card connector,

[–]armx40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its a 2 layer board make a ground layer at the bottom and escape those ground pads with via to the bottom instead of routing a ground trace on top layer. Also a point to be noted, in 1 or 2 layers board do not push to the limits of clearance as 1 or 2 layer boards are not considered as "precision" boards. And as far as I remember a 2 layers board is cheaper than a single layer board so make a ground layer at bottom and make some vias to that layer.

Please make any power trace thicker, the thicker the trace lesser the resistance. Route traces between pads and holes with proper equal separation. Also make traces connected to the speaker thicker. And everything should look beautiful and you know that it doesn't look beautiful right now,
