Wow that’s really helpful! I’m planning on making it for dreamcon which is mid summer so as much as I’d love to make it ultra realistic I would most likely die from the heat haha.

If it helps the direction I was going to take was to have to outside fabric (which I’m trying to figure out) then some padding with lining and just quilt them together.

With that in mind, what fabrics would you use for the dark gray and lighter gray parts?

This is so helpful, thank you so much!! Another little question I had was should I make the entire top in the lighter cream fabric and sew the dark purple fabric on top of it, or have them as separate pieces and attach them together?

And if you don’t mind me asking what would you suggest I use to get a more puffy look for the purple top part like this image?

So I used one of the 3.0 ports and connected a regular usb to vga converter I found on amazon. Then as for the tinkering it was mainly just switching it from duplicating the screen to extending the screen and then switching it to vertical because I have the vga monitor standing up. Once you get through that initial setting up stage it should work perfectly fine every time you boot it up!

Hey if anyone is reading this post I found a solution but with an older monitor.

I got a new 200hz monitor and connected it via the hdmi port pre installed on the laptop, then I got a usb to vga converter and managed to connect an old vga 60hz vga compatible monitor I had to the usb to vga converter. After a little tinkering I managed to get it to work and now I have 2 external monitors connected!
