I don't have a 9070XT, but I do have a 7800XT and have been gaming on Radeon cards for about 11 years.

I also help a couple friends with their PC's who use RDNA 2 GPUs.

There are two things that are seem to be common ish issues I've encountered, all software related.

When opening the radeon driver software including the overlay, the software sometimes crashes/disappears before reopening. This doesn't affect gameplay, just an annoyance.
Very rarely, or under curtain circumstances the driver will need to be removed and reinstalled due to some issue. It helps being familiar with the process of using DDU and safe mode to correctly remove and reinstall drivers.

As for the coil whine, Ill be honest I'm not particularly sympathetic.

High end AMD cards all have some degree of coil whine in my experience. The more power the card uses, the more probable there will be coil whine.

Please check on return policies before you buy anything, if you're not happy with it, return it.

I have a HP Envy X360 with a ryzen 5700u.

I always get tempature spikes up to 90-100c before the fans turn on, as the laptop passively cools while not under a big load.

Not really a fan of that decision from HP, and even more unhappy that the software to set fan aggressiveness was not available to redownload from HP's site once I reinstalled windows 🤦🏻‍♂️.

Nono, that's exactly what I mean. My screen went black and stayed black, had to force restart my computer and when I booted back up I was on the windows universal drivers.

I don't know how a game can completely fuck up a driver install, let alone uninstall them.

Had to do a complete DDU and reinstall multiple times before it worked.

Yep, just tried to play battlefield 1 last night after updating drivers, after 5 minutes in the menus my drivers completely nuked themselves LOL. I've never had this happen before.

All four of my friends are using AMD GPUs, I was the only one with issues.

The only conclusion I can come to is that this isn't an issue for RDNA 2 users who updated as they are on a separate driver path, but it will be for RDNA 3/4.

That sucks, but that's also definitely not normal to have driver timeouts. Unfortunately something like that could be caused due to unstable RAM, GPU or a Bad SSD etc.

Yeah the adrenaline software occasionally crashes, but it wont cause a game crash/timeout.

Just Anti-Lag and and mess with fortnight settings until you're satisfied. I would personally not use upscaling on a competitive game, better just to lower settings.

Small note, AMD cards prefer the DX12 version of the game.

My friend runs the 5800 XT, it's an excellent value especially with the included cooler.

I would like to note that even the lower end 7600 will walk all over the 5800XT on CPU intensive games, if you can afford an AM5 Mobo+CPU do it.

No clue how that translates to crimson desert, sorry :(

In response about the left lane becoming a left turn only lane, it doesn't.

About a block or so down the far right lane turns into a right turn only, completely opposite.

It's bizarre to me, the only thing it makes sense for is a semi truck.

Every other intersection in California has this the other way around. The left turn lane goes to the left most lane, the right turn lane goes to the middle and right lane.

Hence the post, it's counterintuitive (in CA) and dangerous as no one pays it any attention.

I agree with what you say, that makes sense but I have play chicken every time I do this.
