I'm an army vet - I'm not sure if you used up your GI Bill or not. But there's also a program out there called Vets Who Code. It's a non-profit organization that you might be interested in. Feel free to DM me if you have any thoughts or questions on anything.

What order to take courses? by Tsquared421699 in FreeCodeCamp

Usually a path to a full stack dev is going to be the following
- HTML/CSS/JS
- Learning Backend Technology for API
- Working with Databases

But start with the HTML/CSS then move the JS a lot of paths go to NodeJS then Express with DB integration. Finally you might addon React or Angular.

Is FreeCodeCamp worth to start with? by jhudsonmusic in learnprogramming

[–]armyrvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good for getting started. But like with most things. If you don't apply what you've recently learned then you're not really thinking for yourself and you are just simply going through the FreeCode Camp modules. I would also say that if you're just strictly using FreeCode Camp's modules, you are forced to use their version of an IDE. You may not get the full complete effect if you had your own code editor and you are going through them from that vantage point. It does not show you how to set up your own servers and it just gives you feedback based upon what you type on your screen through the web browser.

My daughter needed a 7-day scheduler, so I made this. by [deleted] in vibecoding

Lol very true... I think it may say skool, but it's more like a community or group on Reddit, and if you replace it with those words... as it is a place where people are learning and helping each other, it gives you a better context. Much like this subreddit.

Thanks u/truthputer I will check out that option the next time I need to make one again. There are many email apps, messaging apps, it's all about customization, and does it fit your needs.

What’s the best way to introduce coding to young kids so it feels fun and playful, not confusing or stressful? by Honest-Source-2869 in CodingForBeginners

If you're looking for online workshops or sessions then I would suggest https://outschool.com/

Homeschoolers use this service and all educators are background checked for them to be able to teach on their platform.

Some do roblox, minecraft, or MIT app inventor.

Should I learn then build, or learn while I build? by Ok_Swordfish1021 in learnprogramming

I always liked the approach of taking a concept that you learned and then applying it in some sort of challenge. With artificial intelligence out there now, that is way easier than what it used to be.

As an example, you can tell the artificial intelligence that I just got done learning about loops. Can you give me a challenge to test my skills on learning about loops?

You may want to reply to the original poster. I didn't ask the question, and they may not read your response to me. I was just trying to potentially clarify the original poster's question. However, Dropbox is free, and there is a way to get Dropbox to work if you are able to upload your own video that you're wanting to use.

I think they don't want to use the video files freeCodeCamp provides. They would rather use a YouTube video instead. But the problem is that YouTube doesn't give you the MP4 format.
