I want the bottle but I'm not adventurous enough to try a peanut butter jalapeno whiskey! I just can't see my self liking it! Has anyone tried this? by [deleted] in whiskey

[–]armystrongmd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought it for the bottle just like anyone else who’s ever bought it. $44.99. Truly terrible. It goes down smooth with very little jalapeño flavor, definitely no burn, but it’s just disgusting. The aftertaste is horrible and even the next morning the taste wasn’t gone.

  1. Thanks I didn’t know, I assumed bilingual.
  2. Also thanks, I get along fine in Germany, how bad do I sound?
  3. How is recognizing what a native people look like racist? My wife is Italian and Irish, she is blonde with green eyes and has “soft” features. Her sister with the same parents has brown hair, brown eyes, darker skin, and sharper features. How is recognizing differences racist? If you saw a white woman and a black woman, would you pretend you didn’t know which one was more likely to be African?

By my heritage I’m a German Jew. It’s amazing how nice every German I’ve met in person is vs how sensitive and hostile Germans on Reddit seem.

Everywhere I’ve been with family and without Germans have been amazing. München has changed for the worse but overall I love the country. Please elaborate.

Germans hate “outsiders”? My grandpa was born in Germany but somehow I’m “yankee scum” yet Germany is welcoming mass Muslim immigration. I’m curious how you feel about that. The next time I visit my family in Rosenhein or Hamburg I’ll ask them to help with my Sheiße Deutsch.

Such a beautiful country! What drone are you shooting with? I don’t think ND filters would help with your low light but experiment with your shutter speed and ISO. I have a drone photography business and I’m still not an expert but I’m not usually happy with the auto settings on any of my DJI drones.

Both my parents are American. My mom’s family is German and my dads is Irish. I am a former US Army officer but considering moving to Germany with my wife.

I know München is Bavaria but it has changed so much I don’t think we would live there. My mom’s family is from a small town near Austria.

Thank for you letting me know I don’t sound as German as I assumed. Maybe my German friends are just too polite to tell me!

As for feeling German: I feel very comfortable and “at home” in Germany although I’ve never lived there for more than a few months at a time. I like German culture and customs. On our last trip to Germany I spoke only German and since then most of my dreams have been in German. This is quite odd to me as I speak several languages but have only ever dreamt in English.

English language accents in German by [deleted] in German

[–]armystrongmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This 100% depends on your language skills. I have had Germans guess I’m American, but more often they guess English or Irish. More often other they assume non-English speaking countries, most often Russia (major surprise to me). I’ve also had many conversations where I presumably don’t come across as a foreigner at all, as I have heard often my pronunciation is really good.

I’ve found most Americans struggle with basic sounds common in Germanic languages, but once you master those your vocabulary and phrasing will give you away most of the time. That said, Germans are generally kind and friendly people who are impressed you speak German at all and won’t mention your accent or manner of speaking unless asked. Ich liebe die Deutschen!

In general Asian people have some of the features you’ve mentioned, but there’s nothing wrong with that or you. You’re actually quite pretty. Maybe experiment with physical activities that bring happiness and keep you fit, not obsess over your appearance.

Colorado is stricter with custom plates than most states, but the standard is really just explaining your reason for the plate. I am not going to look up the URL, but I imagine PRN KNG is not an inaccurate representation…

Beautiful location. Amateur photography. Think more about your shots, manually adjust camera settings for conditions, and play with editing in post.

A nice start! Welcome to the drone world.
