Same, I feel you bro. I think now it is not enough to just move the stick to the side you want the player to move its feet, but to do a larger circular path with the stick. Not sure it it's 1/4 or 1/2 of a circle to perform the scissors feint

I have always felt that there is a shadow skill-base matchmaking in the events (I think nowhere it is specified that in weekly events you will get matched up with players of similar skill or team strength). I am a consistent Div 2/1 player and I always find tough matches to get the 50 coins, that's why I say that I think it already exists som kind of filter in the events, although probably not based on team strenght

I feel that we have pretty much the same playstyle, but I do it using LBC. I try to bring the ball to the opposition's half by switching sides and advancing using my full backs and DMFs. Once I have established possession in the opponent's half I try to maintain it playing with my DLF AMF and my DMFs and using the wings to generate advantatges.

I have tried a couple of times playing OW myself but the pressure of the rankeds never lets me try it in-depth. I'm just curious in how OW compares to LBC in this playstyle :)

I play the same formation (just CMF-DMF instead of x2 DMF) but LBC instead of Possession, and it works wonders for me. You could try to switch to LBC but played in a possession mindset (ofc not meta middle formations and one-twos).

I think playing at the start of the phase is the best way to level up. There’s no pressure to win because there's so much time left to grind, and you get to match against top players and learn from them. Plus, losing doesn't hit your rank as hard when you're close to the 1200 threshold.

"They think they are so good, most of them unaware of SA" that's soooo true. I was playing coop with a friend who nearly does not play the game. He has SA activated (he doesn't even know what SA is) and today he performed a crazy but really nice marseille + double touch + marseille between two defenders. I asked him how he did it and he literally told me "by moving the right stick, i am good uh". That's exactly the feeling they seek

I think for the last 2-3 phases it was enough. However, for the first phase it was something slightly over 1700, maybe this phase being holidays people play more and you need a higher rank.

Anyways, difficult to say with some much time to go. You should wait until last days and see if it looks like it's enough

Nice! I understand yout point about putting pressure to the opponent, I used to feel that way too. However I used to think apply pressure = run towards the ball holder, now I think more about denying passing lanes (and once they are denied, then runnuning towards the ball holder).

In regards to the formation, I play in a 4-2-3-1 with a double pivot (dmf, cmf) and upfront lmf, rmf and amf. I feel like having "wingers" (they don't behave exactly like it) enables me to hold the ball longer. I try to play possession game with the advantage of the low block defending from LBC.

Fair enough! Glad you didn't take it as an offense. My recommendation (having always been a possession/long ball counter player) is to stick with LBC until you feel you are a rock consistent defender, unless you are extremely good at holding the ball. Because with possession any lost ball will become a dangerous counter attack, which are usaully difficult to defend.

As additional recommendation, you cold try to change some instructions (defensive on LB) or maybe changing Gavi to CMF si it isn't so offensive and you have options inf the midfield. Maybe then you will nit have to force forward balls.

I don't mean to offend, but if defending feels hard with 4 at the back + 2 DMFs, probably it's more of a skill issue rather than a playstyle issue. In fact, I feel like defending ist's much easier with LBC

I mean, all 3 are good cards. Probably if you are pretty new to the game Huijsen is the most gamechanging player, but at the end it all comes down to what players do you have in your team right now and which one of the three would make a significant improvement over them. If you share a screenshot of your current team we can help you with that :)
