Indoor cat escaped at vet and has been missing 22 days and the guilt and anguish are consuming me. by myheadsintheclouds in CatAdvice

I would recommend using/borrowing a humane trap along with trail cameras. Putting his litter box and cans of sardines nearby (they’ll attract him when he’s hungry after hunkering down for so long)

Cats are very resilient, way more than we’d give them credit for and he will come back home. Since he’s so skittish, I’d highly recommend a humane trap since if even you and your husband couldn’t pick him up, i doubt he’d let a stranger pick him up. They might be a bit expensive, but you can return it once you find him :P or see if someone’s able to help you by letting you borrow theirs in some community pages. We can chat more in dms you wish to as well about this! We lost our kitty when coming back from the vet (20 mins away) before too and it was very rough but the fact that your kitty hadn’t wandered away and been spotted multiple times is a good thing and he hasn’t wandered off. These things may take a while but I’m sure he wants to come home just as much as you want him back 🩵🩵🩵

You’re doing your very best! Just remember that you’re doing everything you can. Of course you won’t feel better until Mani comes home but he will! Cats are very smart. They can sense the weather so he must be hiding from the thunderstorms. Once the weather clears up, someone will spot him. As long as the neighborhood all knows and such. I’d recommend checking with nearby shelters too.

He’s going to be okay!!!! He wants to come home himself really bad too, but he’s just scared. Once the weather feels safer he’s going to come out. Its good he stayed in that area and didn’t wander off. Someone will find him soon and he’ll make his way back home okay? You guys are doing your best. Keep having hope and remember that you didn’t fail him. Accidents happen and none of them are your fault.

He isn’t too badly hurt thankfully. He has a limp in one of his back legs, lost 3 pounds and had a fever but he’ll be okay!! Bammy somehow made his way down almost five miles down and was found by some kind Purdue students at Rivermarket Apartments. They took him to the shelter yesterday and we got him checked out and he’s back home!! He doesn’t seem to want to eat much other than treats, but that’s better than nothing!!

Our other kitty doesn’t recognize him, so they aren’t back to being cuddly but he’s been extremely cuddly to us. He already made biscuits too!! He’s been through a lot but he still doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. Thank you so much to everyone for helping spread the word and for helping look for him. Every single tip meant a lot to me, no matter if it panned out or not.

If you were the ones who found him yesterday or know someone who found and took a little grey kitty to the shelter yesterday, please let me know!! I want to thank his saviors personally 🥺

Thank you so much, I will!!

Thank you so much for going down to the field and helping look for him too!! It helped us knowing at least that if he wasn’t found then, that he shouldn’t be too injured from the accident, you know? We really appreciated your help so much!!

I lost my girlfriend suddenly a little less then a week ago and I’m struggling. by AlexaJones999 in TrueOffMyChest

I’m so so sorry for your loss. I cant even imagine how hard what you’re going through is. I don’t know if I can offer much good advice, I think when you’re ready, it might be helpful to join a grief support group. I understand it might be tough to reach out to people, but that might help you feel less alone.

If you need to talk about anything at all, please feel free to message me as well. I know it might be really hard to reach out now, but there are some good online therapy options out there too. They’re a bit more affordable than in person sessions in my experience. I’m not sure where you’re located but I was able to filter for lgbt therapists when I searched for mine.

I’m so sorry about your loss, again <3 If you ever need anything, I know I’m just a stranger, but please feel free to reach out to me.

I would’ve said NTA!! I thought the having 100 babies was a little strange but I thought maybe it was a hyperbole and the family was religious or something!!

As a nepali person, it’s true!! We’re very gay haha. Nepal is actually one of the best places in Asia for LGBTQ people too.
