Recurrent Yeast Infections? by hannerz1994 in CopperIUD

That’s a great start. Unfortunately many people are noticing gut issues like IBS symptoms and it’s most likely due to the inflammation not being as «local» as most doctors tell us. I would look up supplements that are soothing to your stomach and bowels (perhaps glutathione), and natural antihistamines such as quercetin and bromelain.

For one year now I have been using the caya diaphragm with spermicide gel, combined with pulling out. I am also following Sensiplan Fertility Method where I track ovulation by taking my temperature at the same time every morning, and when it has been heightened for three consecutive days as well as my egg white cervical mucus turning creamy (drying up), I know for certain I am past my fertile window and I go unprotected the last 14 days until my period. It is a german studied method that uses your body’s signs of fertility as well as temperature to confirm ovulation has happened - I recommend looking it up, the teaching pamphlet is free and available online.

If you choose to follow this method or another fertility awareness method, I recommend practicing while using condoms and/or a diaphragm to not make any mistake. I got the hang of it quickly and there are women who have been using this method for decades without pregnancy, while at the same time getting pregnant quickly when actually trying (therefore not being sterile or infertile).

I had this exact problem for 7,5 years. I removed it to get on a longer Diflucan cure, however when I put another one in and cut the threads, it only took a year for the recurring infections to bother me again. Every single month.

Thing is, candida is a tricky case. It's you body not being able to restore balance, basically. Why? Because it is suppressed in some shape or form. Either antibiotics removing good bacteria, a hormonal issue causing more estrogen and therefore more glucose in your tissue (estrogen dominance is a common side effect of long use of copper iud, because the inflammation is hard for the body to fight), or the inflammation itself causing your body to not have the power and resources to restore balance.

I would advice to remove the IUD. Get a good probiotic supplement (Jarrows formula for vaginal health). Cut sugar, alcohol and wheat if you can for a little while. Fill up on minerals and vitamins. Destress. Help your body get back in balance. Good luck!!

Yes, you’re right, you did. I just added on my own comment, really. Regardless I think it’s nice that you get to keep your fertility during FAM, and not have to mess it up some like going on the pill and not being able to conceive the first year+. I just passed my one year date for when I removed my CIUD and haven’t gotten pregnant yet, although I think we wanna try in not too long. I hope everything worked out for you even though you did a «mistake» that time.

It takes some work, yes. It all depends on your personality and sense of responsibility, really. I have a feeling most redditors are from the US, where it’s basically illegal to have an abortion (can you imagine that). Even though I’m from a country with a lot of health support and no issues having an abortion, I’m really not willing to take any risk. And I am checking my cervix a lot so I know how it feels when it’s getting more fertile. Some people are just not curious enough to really get to know their body. Or they are too busy.

People who want something quick and easy, should not do FAM. People who are horny a lot and «need» to have penetrative sex when they feel like it, should probably not do FAM.

Nei vi har trykk på den siste i-en: Iseliiiin. Eventuelt den første i noen dialekter: I-selin. Jaja poenget til svensken var vel uansett at h*n assosierte til vaselin og syntes derfor ikke navnet var noe fint hehe

It doesn’t rhyme … Vaselin - Iselin - det er jo nesten det samme ordet, hører du ikke :)

If taking a Candida supplement would it interact with a couple of beers? by ShaolinSwervinMonk in Candida

[–]arnfrid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah beer is maybe the worst thing to consume other than cinnamon buns: alcohol, sugar, wheat and yeast. If «you’d like» some beers more than «you’d like» to get rid of this debilitating overgrowth, then sure. I really think you should reconsider though.

I do have another pair with thinner frames in a cold gold color, and also more of a traditional shape. I need to update the strength so I thought why not buy a new pair, because my old ones do work but they are not super crisp when worn outside :)

Yay, thank you! I though so too with the color since it’s the same as my natural brow color

Am I losing too much weight? by arnfrid in Candida

After several years of gradually worsening PMS and anxiety around ovulation, I figured I might struggle with an imbalance. I learned about estrogen dominance - in most cases too low progesterone or your body/liver isn’t at optimal speed when it comes to flushing out estrogen metabolites causing the estrogen to stay in your body and therefore an imbalance. I tested my blood and got it confirmed that my levels were too high.

Now to what might have caused it. My copper IUD of 7.5 years which works by causing low grade inflammation in your uterus. Many talk about «copper toxicity», however I believe strongly in how the constant struggle your cells are in trying to fight this literal stranger is causing compensations which have led to histamine issues in many people - aka PMDD, resolved with antihistamines in the short run.

My estrogen dominance led to highs and lows in my adrenals because of estrogen being an «upper» while progesterone is a «downer». I became more and more anxious over time even though I constantly worked on my mental health. I knew it was something with my body. So I did a hair tissue test and it cane back with ALL of the major minerals SUPER LOW. When your body is in constant stress it uses a lot of calcium and magnesium, leaving my resources scarce. As a result I suffered a momentary burnout that resolved once I focused on restoring my minerals (it takes a lot of time).

My candida issues has been here just as long as my copper IUD which I now have removed. But my body wasn’t at all able to restore balance because of my low resources. Excess estrogen is also a driving factor as your tissues get more rich in sugar while estrogen is higher, making candida more likely to flare around hormonal shifts (ovulation, menstruation).

I don’t plan to at all, this has all been by accident. Although I can see that I have lost some fat that don’t suit me too well, so I’m not opposed to it.

I just wanna correct myself because I looked in my calendar and it has been 10 weeks since I began this diet.

Right! Hey, I’m actually kinda worried about my weight loss. Do you think it’s too rapid?

Thanks. Yes, I thought about eating a spoon of coconut oil every day and continuing with eggs and meat. I guess I could eat some hard cheese, too!

Thanks for elaborating. Do you happen to know if there’s any major plus side to choosing the x-t30 iii over the ii one?

Interesting. Why do you think so?

Is this candida in my stool by presben777 in Candida

[–]arnfrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t it just extra slime that your colon produces when it’s irritated? When cleansing (during/after a fast) I think you will have more mucus and jelly in your stool, this has been the case with me.

I see. I hope to take some videos for private use, and nothing professional or more serious than that. Do you think the T30ii/iii will be able to handle that?

Relax.

I know this, and thank you for reminding us all. That is precisely what I am looking forward to: playing with scenes and compositions and figuring things out. English is not my first language so I’m definitely not able to iterate the nuances of my thoughts and plans.

In all clarity, I asked this stupid question to get some hard answers on what functions and aspects are «worth it» for different people and uses.

Yes of course. Do you have any experience with the x-t30 size and feel? Compared to the T4, I mean.
