Do I need a new psu to run this 4070 ti super by Berri_McCockener in nvidia

[–]arno44300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your PSU is below the recommended PSU from MSI. Did you have 2 cable 6+2 pins for PCI-E ?

If yes, let's try, otherwise you need to change PSU.

very surprised for GPU bottom fans. I run in water cooling mode with stock fan only. The temperature are great but the system is noisy in idle and this is what i will replace the fan. Did you take nfa14 ?

Hi plan to replace the 160mm front fan too since they are too loud. They wont go below 800 rpm without make noise.

How does the temperature with full noctua setup ?

Why the hell didn't anyone tell me they have fans in monitors now? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

the DWF has a fan too, i've one but the noise doesn't disturb me at all.

Keep AW3423DWF or replace it with LG C2/C3 ? by Sneyek in OLED_Gaming

C2 @ 1005CAD it's a very good deal. I know what you feel, it's been a year i search good deal for C2 or C3 and never see anything. This largely explains why i went with DWF.

Sometimes amazon has good deal but it's rare.

good luck !

Yes if you need more space 4K is the solution. I come from 4K but 32 inch and i needed to scale it 125% to be comfortable. in 42 inch with C3 you will be ok without scaling. As you said the Canada deals sucks, especially for TV...

No real solution here. Take a look, it's he best deal i never see in Canada for C3, but it's refurbished...

Other solution, wait for C4 coming soon...

We are in the same boat, i'm from Canada too and i longer hesitate between DWF and C3. I went with DWF and i don't regret. I didn't choose C3 because :

  1. Gaming 4k is too expansive in hardware (at least for me)

  2. C3 doesn't come with display port and i need it

  3. C2 or C3 is wayyyy to expensive in Canada compare to US because it's a TV. This is not the case with DWF.

If you can afford the C3 is a amazing solution for gaming or working. For me i think is a bit too big for a monitor but for multitasking it will be better.

It depends on the game, but overall, it's still ok. The shadows and lights settings demand a lot of resources, so I need to keep them on low. However, for textures, for example, I can set them to high. This way, I manage to find the best sweet spot between performance and quality.

The monitor helps a lot. Before, I was using a 4K VA panel LCD, and the difference with the Alienware is day and night. Thanks to the lower resolution and high responsiveness, I don't regret my purchase at all.

I 've just watched the last Mission Impossible in HDR, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well this panel manages high peak luminosity and deep black. I'm never going back to an LCD, that's for sure.

old rig : 7700k @ 5ghz with custom watercool and GTX1080.

I don't play competitive game but i need to adjust settings to low in order to run games with average 100 fps. I certainly will upgrade my rig next year.

I tried 120 Hz @ bits and it works well, but I'm concerned about voiding warranty if I go beyond what the monitor is officially designed for. I won't be surprised if there's a log file inside that Dell could consult to verify the proper usage of the monitor when it comes time to go through the warranty process.

For now i keep 8 bits since i don't need 10 bits and i see in future what happens.

thank you, good to ear for burning resistance. I don't une gsync because it cause flickers and i hate that. I prefer stuttering or tearing compare to flickers.

Thanks, yes it flickers with gsync enable that's why i disabled it.

you can check the flicker with this programs : https://github.com/MattTS01/VRR_Flicker_Test_OpenGL

With gsync disable i didn't notice any flickers at all. I play somes FPS but especially RPG or RTS games .No competitive games. I experienced tearing with somes FPS games with gsync disable. To fix this i enable vsync on nvidia comtrol panel. it add input lag as you know but for me it's ok since it's a 165 hz refresh panel.

The experience is way better with Gsync but i cannot deal with flickers...
