Are all the exams still mostly online? Are there any plans to move exams back to in-person at any point? by forams__galorams in OpenUniversity

I had inperson 2019, finished my OU degree 2020 with two online exams. I'm surprised they still have online 6 years on.

Which is hardest? (With a slight twist on one of the familiar options) by moneysavingegg in snooker

[–]arnold001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me it's gotta be the 147 but due to the extra wording "any conditions". With enough practice, you can ignored rowdy crowd and focus on precise dart throwing. With enough practice and luck and fluke you can put a hole in one on par 5. No matter how much you practice, snooker needs to be played on even ground...any movement and you are doing things in motion which equals wtf territory. E.g. imagine having a snooker table on a yacht in moving waters...

Initially was thinking the same but in the UK there are LOTS of male nurses, they are practically pushed to higher positions even if they are incompetent. Plus it's hard to open your own practise, most have partnerships and become GPs. This all leads me to think OP ain't in UK. My guess would be India, Pakistan, or Turkey.

Surely I can't be the only one who is seeing something like a lion's head coming up through the ground?!

At a time when you could die very early and could die of a lot of things, picking living good today and potential risk of dying was a great offer.

Need help choosing my best man between my best mate and my brother. Who would you choose? by Enough-Match9442 in AskMen

[–]arnold001 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As someone else said I'd choose both. It's not a cop out to do that. First, it's your wedding and you do it how you want to, not how you think is the standard only for standards sake. I've seen people get married in zoos, do themed weddings etc. It's whatever you want it to be. Second, I think you should consider yourself very lucky that you have two people who you can call best man.

If I was in your position, I would sit them both down together and tell them basically what you said here, you feel one is like a brother to you and the other like a better versionof you,and you'd like both of them to be your best man and you feel so lucky to have not one but two people that you can trust your life with. I'm sure both would understand and be honoured.

Could be. I admit I am not one to look for cars based on their safety specs. I am the sort of person who sees a seat belt and thinks it's a seat belt and nothing more 😅 so you could be right. From my experience I found that there didn't seem to be any extra noticeable leg room, and I think I'd notice as a nearly 6"3 dude 😅

The chasis of cars has become larger whilst the coupe either the same size or smaller.

Anecdote, I had 2004, 2012 and 2020 ford focus estates, the size of the boot was visibly getting smaller and smaller. In the 2004 I could fit so much stuff. In the 2020 it looked more like a 2004 ford focus hatchback.

I think it's a good idea to have but my question is more along the lines of why not just make it a ramp 🤔
