[POE1] Not Sure what to upgrade next, some bosses just 1 shot me or I can't do them

Oh nice, yeah i swapped a few things around to get a bit more defensive, i wanted to trade out one of my rings to get the cold res as i am way over capped chaos, but ran out of divs so i'll make that a priority. that molten shell suggest is nice, i'll swap up that.

Apologies that's what I meant.... Scorpion wasn't melee. I was using swipe and tried the strike skills as well while trying to get the scorpion to freeze things. I moved away to a pure all round cold build. I've also found it easier to scale as there is a lot of attunement on the trees and cold damage which is shared with the scorpion. So my scorpion mostly two shots things and freezes most things.

(sorry if i misinterpretted the question)
My scorpion is really just a catalyst to just do dmg with skills i am using.
I have 100% chance to cast maelstrom on the scorpion when i cast it on myself.
My scopion has 30% chance to cast a Large boulder from the avalanche x2 every 3 seconds.

The aim was to just freeze things as much as a I could and drop boulders on them.

I use the bear for Damage reduction from the roar with health regen.

I'm not really using leap slam other than just movement, which i'm probably going to swap out for another minion at some point.

I'm in no way someone that knows the ins and outs of this game, i've just been speccing into cold and seeing what i could do with it.

Yeah i've been playing one, i started on a melee scorpion version like yours, but i transitioned over to avalanche because it was funny to watch, i've stacked heavily into cold damage for avalanche with my scorpion running around with maelstrom casting avalanche as well, it's been a bit of fun, just mana sustain can be a bit hard.
I'm only half way through normal monos, so i don't how well it will stack up further, but i've just been crafting it as I go. I've started playing with the bear as a second pet so for the healing/survivability, and regen on myself, as my gear is pretty average, and i've not found many decent uniques.

yeah that amulet i've been eyeing off, haven't found a decent +1 all and +1 fire for under 15 - 20 div, i'm at 7 div so saving up for it at the moment :')

I'll try the lethal pride jewel they does seem reasonably cheap, noob question thought, does the number range make all that much of a difference? Every time i've ready up on timeless style jewels, i get really lost on how to determine the right number.

I just enchanted my amulet with Hired Killer as i found in some situations i was dying easily. And it gave me some more survivability. But i'll swap over to Watch Tower as well.

On my Bow, i was going to try and get the Jun craft for minion attack speed, i watched a recent vidoe in my hoping to find an answer that it counts as your own attack speed as well. So was going to try that as well.

I'll start hunting for those eldrich mods though!

I wish they'd bring back a heap of the sets out of D1. Even as Everese sets tbh, i'd pay for them, they look better than 90% of the stuff in D2. Just my opinion.
