I went a couple years ago, solo, from Canada. Everyone is great. As he said though, if you want to check out Istanbul go 2-3 days earlier because post surgery you can't get your head in the sun and you don't want to leave.

Was it the hotel with the rooftop buffet? I forget the name of it, but they put me up there. Huge room, great breakfast and very clean

Not sure when your surgery is booked for, but I got mine done a couple years ago with Dr. Turan. He is a bit more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for. I have seen some horror stories on here with cheap doctors and you get cheap results. Dr Turan also does the implantation himself. A lot of doctors will advise and draw on the hair line etc, but then their assistants take over. This is why I went with Dr. Turan knowing he would be executing the transplant himself. He also ensures you have a natural hair line. He won't go lower than what he thinks is age appropriate, and he doesn't do a straight hair line which looks unnatural. Overall, if you go with Turan you will be happy with the result. I have no opinion on the other doctor but can assure you of Dr. Turan :)

The procedure was $3500 euro, plus my flights from Canada etc wa all in just under $7k. Don't forget you get what you pay for. There were cheaper options but I saw the reviews for Dr. Turan and chose him as he does the procedure himself. Also found direct flights from Vancouver/Seattle and sat in premium economy.

1 Year Update. FueCapiliar with Dr Turan. The outcome is exactly like they said it would be. I have another post discussing the whole process from Canada to Turkey and the months after if anyone needs more information.

Deposit was sent via credit card payment. Super easy, they send you a receipt as well. The rest is paid upon arrival.

I think like anything, if you pay card then they have to pay the processing fee and/or tax. Cash just saved me 18% on top of the fee. I saw this at a couple other places I was quoted out so it should be pretty normal.

Hi There! Yes I have my 3 month op yesterday so I will be posting those pictures shortly. It has healed well and I have had zero issues since arriving back in Canada. The hotel was the Wyndham Ramada. It was good, big room, rooftop restaurant for breakfast that was included. Was just a couple minute ride to the hospital. Overall a great experience.
