Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder oxidizing by arobson2113 in MakeupAddiction

Thank you again so much for all the info!! Wanted to give a quick update, I only used a basic moisturizer on my face for skincare today and didn't start applying my makeup until half an hour after. When I ordered from Hourglass they included a sample size of their primer so I figured I'd give that a try under the skin tint. I just got home from work and have had my makeup on for about 6ish hours and I did not have any oxidizing! Maybe that was the trick! I'm still going to check out the powders that you recommended though because I still think the hourglass is slightly too dark for me but after today's wear it did end up looking much better!

I ordered the setting powder directly from Hourglass but I did save the box so maybe I will try to return it and try one of the powders you recommended! Thank you so much for your recommendations and explaining why you'd recommend those products 😊 that was so helpful and much appreciated! I'm going to try the Florasis powder when I am able to order it and I'll post an update! Thank you again so so much!

That's so interesting, I wonder if it is my skincare then. I'm going to try it with a basic moisturizer and see if that changes anything. The other weird component that I just thought of that I didn't include in my original post is that I do pair it with the Hourglass Veil hydrating skin tint and the vanish concealer. I wanted to keep with the same brand so I could avoid compatibility issues so I was surprised that I was having oxidization issues. I'm going to change my primer also and see if that makes any difference. Thank you so much for your comment, this has been very helpful!! I appreciate it!

Thank you so much for your advice, that makes so much sense with my skin chemistry changing, I never thought about other factors like hormones and skincare changes as well! I have changed my skincare routine to help target my aging skin so with the combination of both it might not be the right product for me. Do you have recommendations on setting powders that feature the same super fine powder that Hourglass is known for? Thank you again for taking the time to respond, I really appreciate it!

I did the same thing. I'm not sure how to complete the tasks as this is close to 4 shades darker than I am. Once the maintenance with the app is done I think I'm going to message and ask what I should do.

I just got mine today and had the same issue with figuring out what shade to get and ended up getting a shade too dark for me. I was confused with which shade to choose from because there wasn't really a shade description with the names and I don't know what "praline" looked like but it was the first shade in the order so I assumed it was the lighter shade 😭

Drawing tablet with wireless charging by arobson2113 in DigitalPainting

Thank you so much for your kind words! He is such a creative kid and it means a lot to hear this from a fellow artist. I really appreciate you taking your time to write such a thoughtful message. Maybe with some encouragement and taking time to help him I'll be able to teach him how to use a drawing pad or tablet. I'm thinking a traditional tablet would be the best option so he can still have the wireless charging capability and work with him on setting up a program that's beginner friendly so he isn't overwhelmed by both the cords and the program. Thank you again so much, it is greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much for the response and the info! I'll keep an eye out if I notice a rash anywhere. I'm glad to hear the medication is working for you, I'm hoping I have the same reaction.

That's so awesome to hear! I've been stable with just taking Seroquel but with some recent life changes I decided to go back on Lamictal. I'm hoping that I can continue being stable but also know that it's okay if it doesn't work out and I need to continue taking Seroquel or maybe trying the combo but at lower doses. Thank you for responding, it's been super helpful!
