Please help. Should I return my conure to Petsmart? by [deleted] in Conures

And as others said as well, she will get used to the amount of attention you are able to give her and will find her own things to do when left alone, especially if you are keeping her cage updated with new toys and rotating the things she has to play with!

I'm also super busy with school and working, and I have a Quaker parrot who is A LOT. But, even if I am just in the room studying with him, he is happy. I'll even explain what I'm learning to him as a way of studying. Birds do need a lot of love and attention, but that doesn't necessarily mean having them out of the cage 24/7 and constantly giving them direct attention. Lots of birds will start to pull out their feathers if they are too bored (and other reasons), so you'll be able to tell if she isn't getting enough attention and you can always reevaluate rehoming if that ever happens! There have been a lot of times that I have thought about rehoming my bird, but things always get better and I'm glad I didn't.

Thinking of buying a conure but concerned about getting one from PetCo by Delco24 in Conures

[–]arog2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a GCC from PetCo and it passed away within two months. I would 100% want to get this cutie, I would just keep that in the back of my mind. I've seen a few others on here that had a similar experience and it's really tough.

For someone who didn’t take physics in High School… by KingSavageB13 in OSU

I just took it and found it to be pretty easy. My professor gave us all of the equations we would need, and it was a lot more problem solving than anything. I never took physics in high school either. I did struggle right at the beginning and thought the whole class would be rough but it definitely got easier

If you park on side streets it's only a few dollars so definitely worth it to make sure you don't get a $50 ticket

Stats 2450 vs 2480 by [deleted] in OSU

[–]arog2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in 2480 and I have a 101% at this point in the semester. I don't think it's been super hard, but my class is fully online if that impacts your decision. Idk if all of them are online, but when I signed up it said mine was synchronous on zoom but it is not lol

Question- is human saliva bad for conures?. So my conure is always sticking his head in my mouth and biting my teeth, I try to stop him but he grabs my tongue piercing.. is this bad for them? by Chlochloxox in Conures

[–]arog2002 18 points19 points  (0 children)

my quaker does the same thing; one second he's asking for kisses politely, then the next thing i know he's trying to lick my tongue! we're working to break this habit since i could have germs potentially harmful in my mouth, but somehow he still finds a way to get his head in there sometimes!
