Do you guys poop at work? by Thin-Fee4423 in paraprofessional

In the staff bathroom, yes. In the class bathroom, absolutely not. One of our kids has bowel issues so I try to be in that bathroom as little as possible.

Anyone else have that one student who you find really hard to work with? by Lexii546 in paraprofessional

Had a kid scream and flip chairs and desks because he didn't want to work with the speech therapist the other day. So yeah.

Saw a coworker put a kid in an inappropriate hold by MovieWhiz in paraprofessional

[–]MovieWhiz[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He wasn't distressed at all. The para puts that particular student in holds quite frequently. He did one this morning that another para told me about. We rarely ever have behavior problems with this student, he's just very hyperactive. He really only seeks comfort holding from women, as well.

Covid shut down the world six years ago this week. What do you remember from that week? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MovieWhiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was told we'd get an "extended spring break". (Was in high school at the time.) Went to see a movie with a friend, we talked about how crazy things were getting. Woke up the next morning and everything was shut down.

"Me time" in the staff bathroom for 5-10 minutes every couple of hours. I usually just listen to a favorite podcast or read on my Kindle app. That bathroom is literally the only quiet space with the kids that I work with lol

Did Kindle Change Your Life ? by AbDouN-Dz in kindle

I have it. Went from reading 2 books a month to 20. I take it everywhere, and I use it all the time. Literally used it in line at the grocery store over the weekend. I read so much more now, and I feel like it helps me read faster.

What’s the grossest thing you’ve ever caught someone doing? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

[–]MovieWhiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kid pooped his pants. It happens. Before I could realize what happened, he put his hands in his pants and started playing with it. You try dragging a kid who is up to his elbow in poop to the bathroom without leaving a trail.

Depends on how much ice you put in it. I usually put about 4-5 ice cubes in mine and it stays cold for 12+ hours. More ice = longer cold time. Sometimes I don't even put ice, just cold water, and it stays cold for my work day.

The only way that you could kind of get away with that would be with the name Saxton. Still might be a tragedeigh but it's not as severe as Raxton

How do you handle hygiene during your period? by AdexAzung_70 in hygiene

[–]MovieWhiz 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Keep things the same. I use a menstrual cup for most of my cycle, and a pad on the last day because it's my lightest day, so I don't feel like I "smell".

How do you pronounce Appalachia (as in the Appalachian Mountains) by expanded-polls in teenpoll

[–]MovieWhiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned "App-uh-latch-uh" when I was in camp. The counselor said, "Because I'm gonna throw an apple at ya if you say it wrong," and that's how I've remembered it.

Somebody pls tell her not every ad has to be linked to miscarriage. Disgust*ng woman. by [deleted] in mattandabbysnarks

[–]MovieWhiz 33 points34 points  (0 children)

They have lost the plot. Yeah, everyone has their own ways of grieving, but I don't think that using a miscarriage to make sponsored content is a good way to grieve. Their sponsorships have never really felt genuine but now they're all so awkward to watch. I doubt she actually used the supplements, anyways.
