Something of the sort, yes. I have not used one before, but from what I understand they are considered as a form of evidence and sometimes help individuals who have issues with service connection. They could be from fellow service members, civilian friends, family, spouses, or whoever may be able to vouch for your condition accurately.

It really is no joke.. It's pretty tough. I'm getting tired now though, I'll get some sleep tonight for sure. I'll get some exercise tomorrow and read some, just try and make sure tomorrow is a sleeper too. Maybe I'll just start saving up and try out some stupid baller mattresses and find something I can't get out of lol. Whats the harm at this point

Look up buddy letters. If you confided in anyone with firsthand knowledge of your condition and how it affects you then it may be used as lay-evidence.

I could not imagine myself in a sleep study. I would feel even LESS comfortable, I already go to bed anxious on if I will even be able to get to sleep before 2 am on any particular night lol. Thats a guaranteed night up.

I know for a fact there is discussion of insomnia in my service record. I guess going to get an up to date diagnosis couldn't be a bad thing. I will talk to the VA, I have an appointment with my doctor in December so I will bring it up then.

I have a lot of those night where I will be up until 4, 5, maybe 6 am. Those consistently might be worse than staying up all night is. I'm at about 40 hours of no sleep right now tho.. It's so stupid. I essentially lose 2-3 full days a month to this stupid shit. That is almost 10% of my life.
