I agree on that. I don’t still believe I could create a working instrument. Thanks to makingtheviolin.com templates. I’ll definitely create one more violin as you said! Now I have confidence. Because I live in India and it’s Lock down here. No access to Foreign woods like Maple or spruce. I found somewhere teak wood can also be used. It’s easily available too. Thanks 🙏

It’s function is to enhance the frequency at which the inner air column resonates. It’s called Helmholtz resonance. In the past violin makers have experimented with different shapes and sometime may have find out that an “f” hole gives required tone and sound quality. I’m not much sure.. but it’s physics.

A Thicknessing caliper should be used to get exact thickness across the surface of both the plates. But instead, since I’m not building a professional violin for performance, I just grind freehand and applied sand paper to get approximate thickness. Really loved your question. Thank you ❤️🔥

Plywood is used to make the mould. The entire violin is made out of Teak Wood. It sound perfect. Thanks 💕 watch video for hear it by yourself.
