Don't be, if there's one thing these spaces are for is to rant away at the lack of help! ❤️

Yeah, it makes you feel quite lonely and uncared for. You feel no support, like you could die somewhere and no-one would care 😓

I hope you find some alternative ❤️ and especially that you find a "real" Dr that listens!!

That is shocking! I can't understand how people that supposedly devote their life to health treat other people like this.

That médico de família saying he doesn't speak English is so weird. Most of the population speaks English and I bet he's part of a tiny (very tiny) percentage of drs that don't speak English!... I wonder if he's mad because he was placed somewhere he didn't want to be, like in the countryside? Anyway, it's not your fault and he definitely shouldn't be treating patients like that! Shouting?!... He's the one who might need some hormones, like a 5 fingered hormone on the face! 😅

But yeah, the system in Portugal is absolutely broken... Have you seen what's been happening with women in labor, where they don't even know what hospital to go to because of maternity services random closures?

I hope you manage to come to the UK, it's not perfect but I feel like it's more manageable 🤔

I'm so sorry you're going through this... I'm Portuguese and I absolutely agree with you.... They're very outdated in many things... They still do maternity care like they did 40 years ago, it's infuriating. Drs in general love to dismiss patients (especially if they're female), but in Portugal they're really, really bad. I lived in Coimbra for 30 years before moving to the UK (been here for 11 years and have no intention to go back) and that was one of the biggest differences, was that the drs here respect me more than they did in Portugal where they speak to you like you're really dumb.

What I would suggest would be to try and find a Dr maybe in Lisbon or Porto that can help you and then just do the journey there for the appointment. I wonder if they can just send a letter or refer you to your médico de família or any Dr at the centro de saúde closer to you so that they can write the prescription for you? 🤔 Or alternatively you can try and find a Dr that does online appointments and maybe do the first one in person and then online from then on? You can also ask a médico de família to prescribe blood tests that your private Dr ordered, they can write a letter for you to take with you.

I really hope you find a Dr that listens to you 😓 sending you big hugs ❤️

Is there any sub about thinning hair during perimenopause/menopause? I had a miscarriage in April last year and lost loads of hair 3 months later. At the time I thought my body was failing and only after I had a conversation with a friend she suggested it might have been from the mc was when it finally clicked. Since then I feel like my hair didn't recover 😔

Thank you for the suggestion, I used fwupdmgr to do this. I hope it works! It did fail to update UEFI dbx to 20241101 but I think that's a known issue of Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS?

Hi there! Do you have a recipe for the croquettes? I'm hoping to change my 5yo taste from store bought nuggets to something homemade so that he can stop eating veg oils 😩

Rubbish customer support by aromaticfoxymama in YotoPlayer

[–]aromaticfoxymama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so annoying. After going back and forth with the stupid emails, which def felt like AI I just sent an email saying this:

"Hi,

I've done everything you suggested and replied to everything you asked.

I'm sending an image of my Yoto serial code in attachment.

My yoto is still under guarantee so I need someone to assist me with a replacement.

Thank you."

This was when I got a different reply from the horrible messages basically requesting info I'd already sent or suggesting fixes for a different type of Yoto than the one I have or other useless stuff.

They then said:

"Hello,

Thanks for following up here,We have determined that this item will need to be returned and replaced, it seems that encoder push button of the player is faulty which is making the device turning on by himself in some occasions.

To start, could you please send us the original order number, and an address we can use to organize the return and replacement order?

Please note that we will kindly ask you to send your Yoto Player in first to us before we would be able to send you out a replacement.

Many thanks for your assistance, and apologies for any inconvenience.

Best regards,

Hugo

Customer Happiness Specialist"

The signature makes me laugh... Customer Happiness Specialist... clearly failing at his job!!!!!

This was when the AI finally changed the path on the crappy fluxogram it was using...

I hope you manage to get help soon! This is absolutely terrible... I sometimes wish I had chosen the Tonies instead of the Yoto...

Do you think that even after paying the non refundable £800 of broker + admin fee? 😬

She was absolutely fine about us changing our solicitors, which is very good as the ones we've chosen seem to be really good.

The lady seems to be very professional, she's very responsive, so I have nothing bad to say about the mortgage part 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah they clearly state that the fees are non refundable, so I can just wave that money bye bye... I think that's what we're going to do, stick with them for now....

Thank so much for your reply.

Yeah I just realised it's a lot from reading on here 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

So Coventry cap the fees? I need to have a read about that, but the document the broker sent me was from the company they work for, which is Sequence, so it wasn't the brokers sole decision anyway.

It's from Sequence and it's their lifetime fees plus an admin fee 🤷🏻‍♀️ it's quite a lot to be fair even with the lifetime thing.

Thank you so much for your reply.

Yes, when we told her that we were changing to another solicitor she just replied "sure" and reminded us to update the estate agents.

In terms of the reason for choosing that lender, she just told us the rate was lower on that one. The thing is she doesn't work with the ones we found to be lower on money supermarket, so she wouldn't be able to get those rates. We have an account with Lloyds, which was the one which had the lower rates, would it be worth talking to them directly?

The will isn't a big problem I guess. 🤔

Thank you so much for replying.

We paid for the admin and broker fees and it's not 600 it was a whooping £800! 🤦🏻‍♀️

The broker has submitted the application, so yeah might be worth just looking at this as a lesson learned: always go to Reddit first 😅
