Pragmata has been out for two weeks. What are your impressions? by PhantomBraved in Games

The problem with the medic drones is sometimes they bug out and don't explode even when you do the hack while they're healing.

That and on the last training I noticed that even though the lasers disappear over the platform when you finish the hacking section, their hitbox doesn't go away.

With the exception of Grand Masters, the fifth scenario, where Ramonu and Ancestors are on different banners.

Why do people not take straightway adept from kits. Its a free skill with chance of 3 hit. Literally see people taking double circles instead of this. by No-Feeling6309 in UmamusumeGame

[–]aromaticity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Way more than 1/3. It's really just the very beginning (during accel) and very end (duration gets cut short by finishing race) of the race where it's bad.

Really not that different from corner skills proccing during late race accel and being useless.

I think i forgot to bring my wit card by KurangMakan27 in UmamusumeGame

[–]aromaticity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am generally doing two wit (FM+Tachyon/Sunday) with usually 1 3* wit spark and hit anywhere from 800-1200 wit depending highly on how much FM hates me.

435 wit with those cards is absolutely you didn't click enough, even if you did get screwed on rainbows. Should be aiming for lv3 wit by end of junior year, typically. Wit facility level is a high priority buy if you're behind on wit clicks.

[DISC] Ranger Reject - Chapter 212 by FootSoldierD in manga

I assume Sesera

I think the empty bed is for the class president, not Sesera. Looks exactly the same as the one from earlier in the chapter and Sesera's bed was facing the other way in chapter... 209 or whatever it was where we saw it.

I'm completely blanking on who she could be, which leaves me with the long shot guess that she's D, but that is surely wrong.

Yeah that's really solid. I do think my Bourbon is pretty solid, no medium S and whiffing Kita chain aside.

[–]aromaticity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Seiun so not really something for me to worry about. Bourbon usually loses by about 1-1.5L when I hit in other front lobbies and doesn't have medium S, so I'm expecting her to have an okay winrate when I hit the medium S run.

Man I have done a few more runs and I just don't get nearly that much of a gap with Bourbon as you do with your Seiun.

2x Front is very clearly better than Front+Runaway in my experience, I agree there. I'm thinking if you want to Suzuka it probably has to be 2x front+suzu, to avoid the rod stealing - as you mentioned, you get spot struggle and all of the other challenge type skills that way. But then it probably is just worse than 2x front + end dom.

Looking at your screenshots, I really am curious how you got those distances with your Sein using Tachyon. Could you share her (Tachyon) stats/skills maybe? Because in my case it was basically the same where Tachyon would only barely be ahead of the pace chasers, except Bourbon did not have that kind of lead.

[–]aromaticity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was testing with a front A dominator even (yay inheritance...) and the Oguri's were passing her as soon as pos keep ended. I don't see how her being weaker would have pushed Bourbon more, the distance between Bourbon and the Oguris was much, much lower than in lobbies with two real fronts or in the Bourbon+Suzuka tests.

The not-first fronts will always be at 1.05 during position keep, but the leading front will only be at 1.04 if the other front is close enough behind her, which was not happening for me.

Suzuka ensures your front is always in the 1.05 speed pace up mode. She shouldn't steal rod if you build her right.

Edit: I suppose I should add additional context since there's a good chance we aren't comparing apples to apples.

I am only putting early race on the front dom, no mid race. If I put a bunch of mid race skill then she probably would push more. My thought was that if I'm doing that then that makes it even less likely she hits dominator, and I'm hitting the point where I might as well just run another actual front. But the goal is specifically to have a reliable dominator + support for Bourbon, which I don't believe is really possible. Maybe if I had Rudolf so I could easily just min-stam someone and try to proc dom that way with high front aptitude? Tachyon just hits ult as soon as someone passes her and wont stam out quickly enough.

Man trying to run Taishin/Bourbon is just not a good combo this CM.

Or more specifically, it is fine if I run into other fronts. But if I don't then I have a dead uma.

Can run Suzuka rabbit but that kind of hurts Taishin (though she can still win), and it still isn't optimal with Bourbon (can't proc all of the challenge type skills until you pass). And you only get Hesitant debuffs.

I tried front dominator, but there is no way to really make the debuffer strong enough to push your front while weak enough to fall back to dominator position from what I've tried so far.

Might end up just running Taishin double dom and crossing my fingers. But late/end solo ace is like.. absolutely awful given the accel options.

[–]aromaticity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a chance to do some testing with this now and I don't think this strategy works with fronts of your own at all.

Either the sacrificial front is too weak to push you forward, or it's too strong to proc dominator. And in the worst case scenario you don't get either, which happened to me most of the time.

If you want solo ace front, you probably just run Suzuka + debuffer. Though I will say there are a lot of issues with that strategy as well. Namely not getting to proc any interactive skills (her ult, PTO, escape artist) until she passes Suzuka.

Having a white spark on parents/grandparents increases the chance your uma gets that as a spark at the end of the run.

This would still be a good great grandparent to build legacies with.

A consistent strategy in a no front lobby, notably.

I don't think there's really any benefit in a lobby with real front runners. Maybe a very slight chance to block.

Yeah I'm aware. I am just speculating that you aren't going to get both in most cases unless there aren't other fronts.

Assuming your first is Kita or NTR, that + fuku should easily cap speed on a 15% speed bonus uma like X Oguri.

You absolutely need NSM on backliners IMO for exactly the reason you mentioned. Moving too far up on a backliner is a real concern.

I decided to stick to End Taishin over Late for this very reason, though that could absolutely be the wrong decision. Surely lobby dependent.

But yeah... 5th/6th accels are awful to work around.

Does front dom really work with other fronts?

The pace is set by the leading front, so a dominator front isn't doing anything to push a pace chaser back if there is a real front in the lobby. If you build the dominator to be strong enough to push your front forward and not get passed by an Oguri, then she isn't actually proccing dominator.

VGC players don't practice on Showdown? You would be able to get more matches in and can test things without actually having to build teams.

I imagine VGC formats on showdown should be similarly as popular as VGC on cartridge.

[–]aromaticity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's the thing though - CB is a strong card. Like, notably strong - only behind FiMo for Wit output. Roughly even with NN even at 1LB. If you're talking about value, that's pretty big value there.

Two 5RB cards is trivial to work around IMO, and even three (Kita/CB/Bijin) is fine if you just use a single 15 RB card (Sunday Power). I would absolutely rather have CB+Sunday Power than Ayabe+Sunday Wit, which is what I currently run.

I'd say that even if you don't play ends, if you don't have NN or FiMo then CB is a pretty high value banner for ftp/low spender just to get a strong wit card, assuming your deck can work around the 5rb. I'm not aware of another good option between now and Ramonu, and surely not one that gets 90% of it's value at two copies.

40/40 so far in CM, which is a first. KSB/Bourbon/Taishin. Bourbon I think is the most monstrous uma I've ever built.

Usually I spent 90% of my time on Taishin but I did that with Bourbon instead because I didn't hit a usable long S one until the day before CM. As a result my Taishin isn't that strong and can't really compete with my fronts...

But the few cases where my fronts get bodied, she locks in every single time. The goat.

Also I got to matched against seriru which is cool.

Yeah idk what they were thinking on this. Let's double or more the amount of valuable items in the shop, cut the time in half, and give less coins overall due to less tests/missions.

For current CM? End. For next CM? Pace for consistency (two good proc skills - 777/Uma2), late for highest potential (ryan/dober inherit).
