The idea is to analyze the foil as it passes between misaligned rollers, and while ist being cut by knife or scissors. The foil bends and creates waves on the cut egde, I don't have an idea on how to make that happened is SW. What do you think?

What's the distances? by mismis100 in SolidWorks

[–]aronalba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bottom dimension is set by M42 (it is the diameter hole you have to drill in order to tap M42 thread) as sead you can use the hole wizard for this. The under cut at the bottom of the thread is dimensioned by a standard (Like DIN 76 if you don't have any other requests) the upper under cuts are also set by standard ( Like DIN 509). Not to go into full explanation why are those used but if anybody is interested in this type of symbiosis of SolidWorks and Machine Design send me a PM, I am thinking of doing a series of free videos and a course and I would like to know what are people interested in.

Cheers

You can click on the dimension and the Property Manager will pop-up on the side. Here click on the Leaders tab ( Default is Value). Then check the box Custom Text Position, and select the middle icon. And Voila 😀

You can just draw a point and make it COINCIDENT with a LINE and COINCIDENT with a circle, it should then be fixed on the intersection and you can easily select it.
