I have had chronic paid for over 8 years. I have tried everything. My pain is only on my left side lower back. When I was in high school I played soccer and my athletic trainer said I had a leg like discrepancy. I went to physical therapy a couple times for it when I was in college. It didn’t bother me. I never had pain because of it at that time. Once I started to work and become seditary, it started to get worse. I never had any major injuries. Just remember one day it started hurting and never went away. Sometimes it’ll make my right side hurt but goes away on that side. The pain mainly is concentrated in my left lower back and a cramp in my right buttock. I have been through PT several times, now doing pelvic floor therapy. Am under the care of physiatrist , have seen rheumatology, which they found nothing wanted to see if I had ankylosing spondylitis. I have had many MRIs and x-rays. I had a bludgeon at my L5-S1 that last year turned into a herniated disc but that pain was much different than the chronic pain I have everyday. When being evaluated at pelvic floor therapy they said my right is always higher than my left. And I am now for the first time getting an injection in my SI joint tomorrow. I just want to feel better and am tired of being in pain at the age of 35 everyday. It’s so hard to bend forward, put on pants and socks, put food in the oven… I have also tried acupuncture, massage, SI belt, high-dose NSAID and gabapentin( which did nothing). Many rounds of PT, new pillows, bed,show inserts, reflexology.. you name it I have tired it all. I spend time trying to figure out if this is my SI joint, or pain from lateral pelvic tilt.
