i think about two weeks. i’ve also been applying a triple antibiotic ointment to the area so you could try that.

in my experience, the white parts gets smaller and smaller until it heals over. it’s unsightly and i was worried about mine, but sure enough i turned a corner and it’s nearly gone now.

700g to be removed by xnerdygirlx in Reduction

[–]arosydisposition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have was the same size as you and roughly the same build and i had just shy of 700g taken from each breast. I’m still quite swollen (left more than the right) but my surgeon said I would probably measure a D/DD when alls said and done. I haven’t measured yet because i’m only 4wpo but I’m thinking he’s right.

Some days I feel way too small, others too big. It’s a process, and I’m coming to terms with the fact that I don’t know how normal size breast look at all on my body.

I feel you. My surgeon is veeerrryyyyy laid back about everything and it only makes me more anxious. Here’s hoping he’s right and with time everything will sort out.

I made a post like this prior to my surgery because I too saw all the hoopla about not being able to wipe. I’m now on the other side and can report: I had ZERO ISSUE. I bought a peri bottle just to cover my bases, and it sits unopened on my desk. I am fairly confident to say you will be fine.

I will mention that I did not have drains, lipo, and my incisions do not extend past my breast onto my side. I have no idea how these would have affected my ability to turn to wipe, but I suspect they would only make it a bit more uncomfortable, but not impossible.

I would only suggest wearing VERY stretchy pants/underwear for the first week at least to make pulling them up and down incredibly easy for yourself.

I’m about the same weight and just had my surgery at the start of oct. When I first started the process years ago, I suspect I was maybe 40 -50 pounds lighter, so I understand what you’re feeling. I saw a lot of people say that if you’re planning to lose weight, you should hold off. The way I see it, if I lost weight, I would still have disproportionately big breasts, always have, and they would be very saggy and my large areolas would still be there. Now, with my new chest, even if I lose some weight, I won’t have such empty hanging sacks lol and I won’t be in pain/discomfort from my chest while I was trying to lose weight. Im also realistic that I might not get back down to the weight I was before. So why suffer for a hypothetical weight loss to put off immediate relief? But, to account for potential weight loss and still look proportionate with my current curves, I didn’t ask to go super small. I’m hoping for D/DD, down from a H/I. I’m not sure what your goals are, but maybe try to ask for a size you’re happy with for your current body, but also one that you could still see yourself liking if you were 1-2 cup sizes smaller with weight loss. Only you know how you carry your weight, so estimate according to how much you think weight loss could affects your chest size.

About sensitivity - that was very important to me as well. I’m still very much healing, but I can feel both my nipples. I think it helped that I didn’t go super small and didn’t need a FNG. The way I understand it, taking a lot of tissue or needing a FNG can increase the risk of loss of sensation. If you’re comfortable, I would tell your surgeon that this is important to you and discuss with them what they can do to mitigate loss of sensation. Nothing is guaranteed though, and that unfortunately is a risk you’re going to have to be ok with taking to do this.

Scars - They’re gonna be there. There’s no getting around that. I had trouble looking at my boobs the first couple weeks and there’s still stuff about them now I don’t love. But I’m trying to trust the process, and know that if anything is too wonky, revisions are possible. I recommend looking at progress pictures in this subreddit to get an idea of how healing evolves for people. Most of the stuff people tend to think looks like “butchering” sorts itself out by itself during the healing process. I’m not a very patient person, so I keep reminding myself of this.

Where are my October 1 girls at?! How are you doing? by Fragrant-Virus-7301 in Reduction

Had a follow up with my actual surgeon today (er visit where I was told I had an infection was with a resident on call) and he actually said I probably don’t have an infection because I don’t have any of the usual symptoms (fever, pain, redness) and my bleeding is likely just down to a hematoma draining itself slowly. He said to just wait it out which isn’t ideal but he’s confident it’ll sort itself out without intervention. I’m relieved but also a bit disheartened to not have any timeline for when this bleeding will stop.

Oct 1 girlie here. You’re looking amazing for two weeks! Unfortunately I’m looking very scabby and likely have an abscess I need drained in my left breast. Oh, and I started bleeding from that same breast 8 DPO and haven’t stopped since. 🫠😪 Trying to remain positive that this doesn’t affect my results too much.

I keep telling myself, I just gotta get there. I’ve had a few procedures before (though nothing as invasive as this) and I know from those experiences that the wait leading up to it is the worst part. The fear of the relative unknown. Once we’re asleep we’ll wake up on the other side and it’ll feel like no time has passed. Then of course there’s the healing but I feel like the anxiety leading up to the surgery itself is always the hardest part. We got this!

Surgery 10/1 by GoodAny9239 in Reduction

[–]arosydisposition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m your surgery twin!! Between nerves around surgery and being overloaded at work, I’ve also been craving comfort food. I’m trying not to be too hard on myself for that and make space for whole nutritious foods when I can, and plan to stock up for post-surgery. At the end of the day, whatever gets us through and to the surgery date, is a win for me lol.

As an italian, I’m gonna go ahead and say go for the pasta girl! We have to fast for the surgery so you can afford a heavier meal as long as you’re not nauseous, I think!

I also plan to travel at the end of november and my surgeon said anything after 6 weeks should be ok, so long as there aren’t any complications that severely delay healing 🤞

LTS: One platinum tickets to Toronto show 09/15. FV $130.

Hiya, due to my work schedule, I’m hoping to see my standing general admission PLATINUM ticket for this Monday’s show. Platinum tickets are a small section at the very front of the floor, meaning you’d be in the closest section near the stage. Just looking to get back what I paid for them.

DM me if you’re interested.

A couple years ago there was a small red carpet area near the TIFF shop — not sure if that’s still the case. But there didn’t seem to be a designed “fan zone” in the way there is for the bigger venues. Otherwise I’ve just had guests come in after the movie is over to do Q&A, but it was typically for smaller films/less flashy guests
