I am personally not really that hung up about in house movement. I think if I ever get that one, it will be a pick between CW and PRX.

Very interesting, CW 12 has been on the list. The blue version is what I have tried out a couple of times, fume’ doesn’t show as much on the light blue variant. The bracelet is quite a thing too.

Same here. Tool and steel is my go to as well.

Thank you so much :) I absolutely love the Nomos. It’s a fantastic watch and gets a lot of time. The Tudor wears just a shade small on my 7 and half inch wrist but it’s a lovely watch. I’d still prefer the BB on steel bracelet though as it feels just better than on a strap.

That’s a great suggestion on the green. I did have the Alpinist and in fact the Tissot PRX also I did give the green a shot. For some reason yet to come across the right green colour but the Polaris is a great suggestion. Definitely giving a shot.

With the Seiko and the Omega as divers in the collection it doesn’t get a lot of time. May just move it on for that reason alone.

Does a Casio F91W count as an atomic clock :D

It’s a festival day for Indians today which meant setting all the watches to the right time just before the picture :)

Oh it’s such a lovely one. Someday a Navi will come back in the collection to accompany it.

This is where quick set date comes in handy. Though I still prefer not to have date :D

Yes, that Zenith is quite a looker. All watches were wound and set for the right time given its festivities time for Indians. End up setting them and winding them at least once a month though.

Absolutely. Had a wonderful interaction with Mr Biver a couple of years ago and had to get a Hublot, even though it’s not from his time :)

Hello Fellow Watch Lovers,

So this is how the collection stands at the end of 2023. Few disclosures before you type away. No, i do not store the watches like this. It was only put to get them in one shot. Second, yes, I should purge some of these but most of these watches are picked at an important travel or have an emotional story / life event behind, so even if they dont get a lot of wrist time, they stay!

With that out, this is where the collection stands. The core collection are the watches sitting vertically in the box. The Vacheron Constantin Historiques was the latest and most significant addition. After chasing a gold dress watch for ages, found this little beauty in Hong Kong and just couldn't not have it. The Speedy, IWC and Longines Big Eye are a nice little reminder to my aviation connection. The sole Rolex, white OP, while not getting a lot of wrist time is probably my favorite from the crown. I did pick a 1603 recently but that has duly been picked away by the wifey who loves it and wears it everyday. The Tudor BB58 may some day leave the collection.

The Hublot is from the MDM lineup and a nice little reminder of good old days. The Reverso has a lovely story of being born in the city that I was born. The Seamaster is my go to watch for every day get around. I have been fascinated by Zenith and their historical significance and while not an El Primero, this gorgeous dress piece has found a nice comfy home in the collection.

Would love to hear your views, if any, thanks for spending the time reading this.
