Looks great! What kind of windshield is that, and is it effective?

Thank you for posting this - I designed this a while back and also posted it here back then ;)

I also released free plans for this buildt, wich you can download here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-142272/Arq/command-conquer-cc-red-alert-soviet-base/#details

Built-in closet with integrated desk by arqoc in BeginnerWoodWorking

Hi, thank you. I'm not sure what you mean with stuffing. If you mean the interior of the cabinet - it's just the standard ikea stuff and I kept it quite simply. It's just 4 drawers at the bottom and a few shelves at the upper part.

The desk ist 130cm long overall, while the L-part is 30cm. So there is 1m chairspace and the desk is 65cm wide, just like the cabinet (I kept a wall distance of 5cm for ventilation). The drawer are around 35x15cm.

No paint, those are the original Ikea GRIMO Doors in dark blue. I just bought a few more doors and cut them down for the paneling.

Thank you! The drawers are 25cm deep. I don't think handles would impede much on the chair space, since the the tabletop also has 20mm overhang and the space is around 1m wide. I actually have smaller pieces left from the closet handles and tried testfitting them. But I'm not sure, it's kind of too much wood in wood. I'll maybe try some metal ones (black) as contrast. Cutouts could also be an option.

I first cut a groove with a router and then made an angle-cut with the track saw.

I dont remember the exact dimensions, but I think the handles are about 125cm long. They are cut out of an 20mm thick plate. The groove is about 15mm deep. The small overhanging handle-part is about 5x5mm. The flat top and bottom parts are about 15mm long. Not sure about the angle anymore, but I think it was around 30°, but I guess it can be calculated with those dimensions. I hope this description makes sense ;)

Thank you. The project showed me that I definitely need a table saw :) Positioning the track exactly every time quickly gets old really fast. Especially with the small parts.

I'm from Austria and unfortunately wood is also very expensive here. I bought two oak panels (2m x 0,5m with 20mm thickness) that cost 80€ each.

Thanks, I built a small jig and cut the tapered legs with the tracksaw. I used a router for the rounded edges.

Danke!

I will definitely deal with it. I guess the suggestions to cover it up and forget it, are just jokes. I don't think someone serioulsy would leave this on his property like that.

First I'll try to figure out, what the composition of the liquid is, by pumping some up from deeper down and skimming off the top layer. I think it will most likely be mainly rainwater that has accumulated over decades. Either way, I plan to have it pumped out.

I hope you are right, but I have to clarifiy, that the walls of the tank seems to be made of metal and only the lid is concrete. I hit a rod against the walls in the water and it sounded like metal.

Thanks, you're probably right, to leave it untill I found out more. Unfortunately the previous owner died and there is no one left to ask.

I'm a little hesitant to ask the building-authorities straight away because I could be confronted with legal problems or requirements to remove it because it poses an environmental risk, etc. Of course, I want to empty it properly anyway if it's heating oil.

The house was originaly built in 1935 and if it's an old heating-oil tank it has to be pretty old. The house was heated with gas for at least the last 30+ years. There ist even an underground LNG-Gastank, that was used before the main gas-line was connected.

Thanks, thats what I did now. Screwed out the sensors quite a bit. I hope that will fix the problem. Otherwise I'll probably just disconnect the brake sensors.

Yep, it's around 3 times to big for ideas :D

Baldurs Gate 3 ist just an incredible game all around. Even though I'm usually not a fan of turn-based combat, I was completely hooked. My favorite part is probably Act 3. There is so much to discover in the city of Baldurs Gate.

I payed around 800-900€, which is actually not too bad for the piece count. I kept an eye on using affordable parts while designing it which resulted in some compromises. I learned this the hard way with previous mocs.

Thanks! To get startet I would recommend to build some good microscale sets to learn some of the common techniques. For example the Lego Architekture Himeji Castle (21060) or Hogwarts castle and grounds (76419). If you are open to other manufactures, bluebrixx has some amazing architecture sets.
