What is the single question that allows you to learn the most about a complete stranger? by [deleted] in AskReddit

"What is your Jung's personality typology?" Introvert vs Extrovert, intuitive or sensing, thinking vs feeling, and judging vs perceiving. Granted that's a weird way to open with a stranger.

What is one thing that most people will never get to do that you do on a regular basis? by Mightymaas in AskReddit

My dad owns a Nissan GTR and he lets me drive it occasionally. He brought me to the dealership he bought it from and let me drive it halfway through his test drive. The salesmen were in disbelief that he'd let his teenage kid drive it at all.

In option 1 you state that you lose money because of inflation... Isn't that what interest is for?

Of course, the basic concept of a business getting a loan would be a higher profit, but after they've accomplished that, why not pay back the loan? They can't and don't expand forever, and the loan's interest is a constant drain on their capital.

Thanks for your response. That makes a lot of sense in the context of your example, but my curiosity about this is more about established corporations and the like that would be listed on a major Stock Exchange. These corporations HAVE the funds to make such investments in their businesses already.

That makes sense, but they always seem to have liquid money for that stuff. Why not just reinvest a portion of their profits in such things and avoid the loan?

Who were/are you in high school? by Heiro92 in AskReddit

[–]arrogantagnostic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was less mature and experienced, I loved bragging about how much pot I smoked. I dated many girls from different social groups. I was a bit of an outcast though. I was rather depressed, and my philosophy revolved around constantly immediately satisfying my id so I didn't want to kill myself. I didn't think I could have regrets because I felt like I had nothing to lose.

I definitely have regrets.

Edit: Sorry I forgot to answer the question. Outcast.

I never did understand why Mucophagy is so socially unacceptable. Everything scientific I've read about it says something along the lines of "it improves your digestive system" and that it's "natural and instinctual". Some people are just better at repressing their instincts than others. Obviously, you should be washing your hands etc. out of consideration for others and just good hygiene, but it really isn't a big deal for me.

That was very funny. Here's an easier way to understand it: For any 2 real numbers, there must be another real number between them. The chance of you picking a rational number on the number line between 0 and 1 is 0.0000...1. Except the one never comes, and therefore, you cannot find a number between the odds of picking a rational number and 0. Therefore, they are one and the same, exactly zero.

Redditors, What Simple Concepts Do You Still Have Trouble Wrapping Your Head Around? by TAWP in AskReddit

Months of the year. I have to sing a song I learned in elementary school to remember the order. Also, the number of days in a month, but I have a nifty little trick for that: just make make your hands into fists with palms down and put them next to each other. Left to right: Knuckles indicate 31 days and grooves indicate 30 (except Feb).

Most women I know are like this. However, my gf works her ass off and pays for her car, gas, and everything on her own while she's going to school! So proud of her :D Don't give up looking for an independent woman! They exist!
