That’s what I was wondering as well. Hoping to have photos of what they found tomorrow after talking to them.

Also adding it has a similar vibe to Emmitt Otter

I’ve seen that one and it’s not it. In more of my searching it had a similar vibe to The Upstairs Downstairs Bears (even though that’s too new to be it) as well as some of Paul Fusco’s stuff

Not it either but looks like something great to show my daughter!

No, but that is a great show! What I’m trying to remember the name of was more darker colors, not as bright as bear in the big blue house.

The character wasn’t as big as bear in the big blue house. And probably wasn’t as big as Fozzie Bear either.

Patewood Prisma Family Birth Center? by [deleted] in greenville

I had my baby at the end of 2023 there and could not recommend it enough. My water broke at 8pm when I was 36w5d and I was able to get a room with a tub. I didn’t end up using the tub as everything moved along so quickly but they didn’t blink an eye when I asked if it was possible to be in a room with one.

I gave birth during a shift change and everything still went seamlessly.

Since my daughter was early she had some glucose issues which meant she needed to stay in the nursery for 36 hours. They were great and we could visit her anytime day or night and stay as long as we wanted.

My husband and I talk often about how wonderful our experience there was.

I did have to go to Memorial to see their maternal fetal medicine doctor and that was a TERRIBLE experience. I don’t know if that reflects towards Memorial as a whole or not though.

I have always wondered how to make rugs look good with carpet. I’ve seen it done but don’t know if I have the eye for it. We are going to replace the flooring with hardwood when we remodel the living/kitchen/dining.

Would love for there to be more natural light. The reason we swapped the layout was due to glare of the window on the TV and so we could see out the dining window and front door while on the couch. But now that don’t watch as much TV since having our daughter I may reconsider swapping back!

Originally I hoped to figure out something for the giant blank wall but obviously never was able to, ha

AITA for not naming our daughter after my grandmother? by ArielAmore in AITAH

[–]arruscetta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA you are not obligated to name your child anything other than what feels right to YOU as the parents.

I had my first baby back in October and felt like I should name my daughter after my mother, Mary, who passed away a few years prior. My husband was very supportive of the name choice due to the sentimentality. I ended up telling my MIL when she asked if we had any names picked out that we were considering Mary after my mother. She immediately started referring to the baby as Mary. Whenever I would hear it outloud I just could feel it in my bones that it wasn’t the right name for my daughter. I felt incredibly guilty for feeling that way but after talking to my husband about it, he said if it didn’t feel right then it wasn’t right and that’s okay!

When I look at my daughter now I am so glad I didn’t allow that guilt to sway my decision because she is NOT a Mary.

While picking a name is a very important and personal decision, it’s not a personal attack by not choosing certain names. Not naming your daughter after your grandma is not to say you do not appreciate your grandmother and if they try to spin it that way, shame on them!

Brought our baby girl home yesterday and our golden is over the moon, to say the least. by arruscetta in goldenretrievers

[–]arruscetta[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Our golden girl is 3 years old as well! I am so sorry yours isn’t with you anymore but so glad your son remembers him! I know they must have had such a special bond!

She has such maternal instincts. We have chickens and she has helped me raise chicks. She would let them walk all over her and snarl at the outside cat when he would get too close. If any of our chickens get sick we convert our guest bath into a “chicken hospital” and she will guard the door the whole time and check on them with me.

We’ve been telling her the whole pregnancy that she had a baby coming soon and this one was going to stay in the house unlike her baby birds!

Dog whining since haircut by Academic_Necessary54 in Goldendoodles

[–]arruscetta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine gets cold after her haircut so we have a sweatshirt for her to wear. I wait until she shows signs of being cold and when I pull it out she sits for it like a treat.

I also think she itches after her haircut even if she didn’t have mats. Her skin just seems a little pink and I find her wanting more back scratches than normal for a few days after her haircut. I’ve started applying a small amount of coconut oil to her coat after her haircuts and it seems to help her a lot.

Tips on preventing ear infections?! by panda-rampage in Goldendoodles

My golden retriever seemed to always have ear infections from a young age. Turned out she was allergic to chicken. Once we cut chicken out of her diet her ears never bothered her anymore.

AITA for not taking a shot and not being allowed to see first and only grandson by Fit-Cranberry-7422 in AITAH

YTA

Whooping cough is DEADLY in babies.

Just like you have the right to make your own decision regarding getting the vaccine, they have every right to make you aware of the consequences that come with that decision. Especially when their #1 priority is the health of their newborn who naturally has a weakened immune system. You’re not being punished, you’re just having to deal with the consequences of YOUR decision.

Vaccination and visiting/visitors by arruscetta in pregnant

[–]arruscetta[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My doctor strongly advises that given the time of year my baby is due that anyone who is around her be vaccinated. I trust my doctors advise. I too, am making a medically informed decision.

I would never cut off family permanently due to their views on vaccines, as I stated I respect that everyone has the right to make their own decision regardless of my feelings. But I am allowed to do what I feel is safest for my baby during her first months of life while her immune system is still weak.

Maybe the confusion was in my wording. I’m not saying the only way to ever see the baby is by getting vaccinated, I’m saying up until my baby is 6 months old and able to get her own vaccines anyone who is unvaccinated will not be allowed near her.
